Fiesta Tropicana — Restaurant in Greenfield Township

UPDATE 2023 My daughter absolutely loved her steak quesadillas, but at 9, they don't have any idea about flavor, lol. The salsa was absolutely mild, I added hot sauce to it. Even my mother, who doesn't like spicy, commented on how mild. The meat was cooked fine, the basic flavors were there, just not enough of it. I know the people in Ohio don't always like spicy, but it would be nice to have more options than adding bottled hotsauce or extra jalapenos.

Service for a Friday night was sad. My server kept disappearing constantly. I saw other servers visit their tables at least 6-8 times, and ours came maybe 5; drink order, drop off drinks, food order, check on food, and check. He brought a drink refill once for my daughter. The saddest part was everytime I looked up there were employees walking around, just standing there or rolling silverware. Like a ton of them (like I'd say maybe 20 people were working) don't get me wrong I'm glad they have employees but if they have so many how come, drinks were empty, salsa needed refilled, waited to be cashed...

I know it was a Friday night and prime time for them, but the table placement on the patio needs work. We were smashed next to the patio door with little no room to move around. Every time the door opened, I was worried that drinks or food would get spilled or dropped on my mother.

Many new faces since Covid, I miss the others they must all be at Maria's now. Not nearly as friendly a staff... I prefer Maria's...

Old review - Friendly service. Margarita was quite delicious, not super watered down. Salsa was good, not overly mild as I had expected it to be. Chips were warm. Carne Asada was good, and I was pleased to be able to have jalapenos grilled in the side to go with. Rice and beans were ok as well. Beans had good flavor. Lots of entree choices to choose from. What can I say about this place! Everything is good from the service, all the way down to them being attentive they even recognize regulars. If you want authentic Mexican food you cannot go wrong there you will be back the cheese dip is wonderful wonderful! We order two cheese dips, the first time we did this the kind of looked at us but if you have children you'll understand that you have a couple little double dippers! To prevent the cheese dip and being double dipped I suggest get the kids a second one! Always pleasant always good, service is fast food is top rate quality fresh hot excellent place, reasonably priced but then again I don't mind paying for quality product, at this restaurant you get quality at a very good price thank you guys wonderful service been eating there for almost 15 years...

this place is kind of a victim of hearsay in this town because for years everyone I know that lives here has said to me that Fiesta Tropicana was good for lunch but not really a dinner place. Nothing could be further from the truth. Fiesta Tropicana is EXCELLENT! It has a wide variety of meat and vegetarian dishes PLUS even though you can't see this from the menus available online, they do indeed have a kids menu with chicken nuggets, hot dogs and hamburgers (my kids ordered the chicken strips and they LOVED it!). My margarita was strong and flavorful, the chips were fresh and hot and the main dish was both creative and delicious. This place comes very close to El Vaquero in Columbus, so if you've been looking for something more than what we have at that place near river valley...
