Beware of returning equipment here. I walked into the store to return my cable modem after canceling service. A lady looked up my account, then told me to hand the modem to a gentleman who took it to the back and they said I was all good. I asked for a receipt, but they said they didn't provide them for equipment returns and they refused to provide any sort of proof that I had returned the cable modem. Not surprisingly, I then received a notice that I hadn't returned my cable modem within 30 days and owed money for it. I have called three times and sent two certified letters disputing this fact, but they still have turned me over to a collection agency that calls multiple times a day despite my answering the calls and having notified them via certified letter that (1) I dispute the debt and (2) that I am asserting my rights under the fair credit act and insisting that they cease all communications immediately. Since its been about three months and no one wants to actually resolve this, I guess its time to contact an attorney for me. But avoid the head ache. I believe its the UPS store that you can go to and they'll ship it back for free and they have the address and will package up etc (if not UPS its Fedex; its been months so I just don't remember but that's was my original plan before I decided I'll be right by this Spectrum store for lunch, so I'll just return it there). The nice part about shipping is they are a third party so I'm sure they would be more than happy to provide proof you shipped it back. From what I've read online, you'll still got thrown to collections as they are months behind in processing the shipped returns, but from what I've read you can print the proof and send it to them and they'll leave you alone. So avoid the headache, learn...
Read moreI used to swear by Spectrum (Iâd of given 4.5âď¸âs) when we lived in NC 14yrs. But 2âď¸âs after we moved out here 2yrs ago; Iâve honestly been struggling keeping them our WIFI is basically nonexistent but the straw that broke this longtime customers back was when they were so rude & told us both my sonâs phones were basically useless cuz the batteries werenât functioning properly (Not true they are fully functional) the issues were the glue holding the backs to the phones were coming unglued!! The 3 workerâs all laughed at how âoldâ the phones were Samsung Galaxy S21 2021. They work Perfectly still but they said with them being outdated unless I got different phones nothing was covered by any warranty or protection so Needless to say I CANCELLED the phones service & will be taking our business elsewhere; so far dealing with the WIFI Only cuz of the price I pay, but currently looking & might leave when we find a replacement! I definitely WOULDNâT recommend the Lancaster store. Workers are Rude & donât care they only try & basically lie about your device so u buy a new...
Read moreI really appreciate and enjoy Spectrum's internet service! I started with the 300 mbps promo and I was happily running an xbox, tv, Macbook, and 2 phones simultaneously on it. The promotional ended and the price went up - obviously. When the price went up, I assumed it was because I no longer was in a promotion price. So I went into the Spectrum Retail Store in Lancaster and asked them to explain my bill to me - they happily did so! We both exchanged the information demonstrating why we felt the way we did and were in the position we were in - respectively to each other of course.
By the end of it, without me asking!, the store representative upgraded me into the 500 mbps package and it saved me on my monthly bill!
I walked out of the store: 1. Knowing more about my bill and service, 2. Getting an Upgraded Service, and 3. a Lower Bill!
That is the definition of setting the industry standard for customer satisfaction and service!
Thank you...
