We visited on 12.05.23 for dinner around 7:30 PM. We received excellent, quick service. One of our group didn't know much about Greek food and the server was very knowledgeable about the different Greek items. She came by the table to check in frequently. I asked for lemons with my water and she brought them without asking twice. (I eat in restaurants frequently and most often I have to ask twice.) The atmosphere was disappointing. While they had linen napkins and quality flatware, the florescent lights were as bright as a White Castle. There was no music playing so all we heard were other people's conversations and the sound of the kitchen. The dishes were plastic. We expected better ambience with softer/dimmer lighting and real china dishes for the prices we paid. If you're looking for Greek food in Greenfield, this might be the best bet. If you're looking for place with comfy ambience, this isn't the best choice. The food was reasonably good. We ordered a variety of items and it seemed like the Greek items were better than the other things. Portions were just adequate. The entree prices were $16-$20, and appetizers close to $10 (some were more than that) and that puts them in the higher end of restaurants in Greenfield. We ordered Gyros and the amount of meat was quite light for the $17 entree price. (You'd get twice as much meat elsewhere.) One of us ordered the broasted chicken and the pieces were not very big. All of us had mashed potatoes and they were only lukewarm on arrival and cold not longer after that. For the quality and quantity value we received, we felt the food was overpriced. If you like Galaktoboureko (traditional Greek dessert) theirs is homemade and was excellent, even thought it was $7 for a decent sized piece. It was okay and we're glad we tried it, but probably won't...
Read moreThe server was great and friendly although when given side options extra charges should be communicated as I was not aware of an up charge for the greek salad. I ordered the lamb kabobs and I ordered them medium, the server recognized they were well done and extremely over seasoned once I finally asked if it was their normal, but because I didn’t complain earlier I got a whole $2.40 discount on a $24 plate. I had not ordered this from there before and didn’t know what to expect and I don’t like to complain so maybe I waited to long to say something but regardless the meal was not how I ordered it nor was it what the server thought it should have been and she openly admitted this herself. We were given a free dessert but honestly I didn’t need or really want that and it was a little insulting after opening it once we got home and it was one singular piece of Baklava when there were 2 of us. I paid over $60 for overcooked, over seasoned lamb, a Greek burger, and a glass of wine. I manage in hospitality and understand the difficulties but I don’t feel the appropriate efforts were made in making it right, therefore I will...
Read moreHad spectacular birthday dinner for my mother - she raved about how fresh and delicious the food is. The chicken kabobs are delectable- browned on the outside and tender moist white meat on the inside. Don’t forget to spoon some of the juices over them. The lemon potatoes are delicately seasoned and i always bring home leftover potatoes for a luscious cold late-night snack. Who knew how flavorful chilled lemon potatoes could be - Costa has the magic touch. Love the hummus plate with tender pita slices and fresh peeled cucumber slices. You have not lived till you try Costa’s spinach pies - triangles of flakey phyllo dough filled with a scrumptious spinach/cheese spread. This is fresh, homemade cooking. You feel like you have eaten nourishing food. Impeccable service and the place is spotless. Costa is well-known in Greenfield for his other excellent restaurant (Lincoln Square) and is well-loved by patrons young and old. Great job and we will continue...
