My husbsnd and I went here on a Wednesday late afternoon (around 3-4pm), and we were seated almost immediately. We weren't given any silverware, which I thought was odd. The place was nearly empty and there were 5 tables that were empty and dirty with dishes and food. They also had their AC turned so low that I had goosebumps, and I was wearing PANTS and a T-shirt! The waiter came and asked what we wanted to drink (2 waters, and a milkshake). We waited 15 mins at LEAST for them. When we did, we asked for some silver ware and napkins, and gave our food order. We ordered one appetizer of 1/2-serving nachos, a burger, a chicken sandwich, and a side of steamed zucchini and squash. Waited 15-20 mins for the half-order of nachos. We still had no silverware or napkins, so I went to a cleaned empty table, and had to grab a couple sets myself (our waiter or any staff were nowhere to be found). While there are now up to 7 empty dirty tables (none were cleaned the whole time we were there). Then we waited at least another 30 mins for the sandwiches. They forgot the steamed squash and zucchini. Then came back after 10 mins with a tiny plate that had about 9 half-coin pieces of shriveled "steamed" zucchini and squash. Now, the menu had a clear picture of a small plate with it filled with the zucchini and squash, priced as an extra side at $1.89...when we got the bill, they were charging us $2.79 for it! I was extremely upset and mentioned it to our waiter who meeted me at the hostess desk to pay. I even showed him the photo in the menu, with the price right next to it, and then showed him a photo of what I got, and then the price on the receipt. He apologized and took the side of squash off the bill. Now, the food wasn't bad-tasting, but the only thing that I'd say tasted good were the nachos. Probably not going to come back here for a while. We used to love going to Denny's and enjoyed the food, but this location is not one we will be returning to. I'm not sure if they were just extremely understaffed that day, or what, but the place slightly smelled too. I'd definitely say to try a different place, if you're on a schedule, or if u want...
Read moreUpdate 9/25/21 - I didn’t think I could leave a more negative review, yet here I am. It’s 11:14pm. They stop serving at 1am. We were turned away from dining inside because they were backed up an hour on serving with current dining room customers and call-in orders. You read that right. Turned away two hours before closing with zero apology. So we went to George Webb. Where they have ONE person working the entire restaurant. So sad - I really wanted to try a new Denny’s Benny.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: We left without eating our meal. But let me start off at the beginning. When we got into the restaurant, we were immediately seated. And then we sat for 10 minutes without service. And then we sat for 15 minutes more without service. Finally, someone asked if we were taken care of and took our drink order. Ten minutes later (no drinks yet) someone else asked if we were taken care of and we said someone took our drink order, but we were ready to order food. So she took our food (and drink, again) order. Then we waited. And watched as people who came after us were served their appetizer. Then we had to ask for our soup, and she brought two cups instead of a cup and a bowl. Then the table next to us (who came after us) got their entrees. We hadn't gotten our appetizer yet. We asked our waitress what was going on, and her excuse was that she was "so busy running around with all these tables". They were adequately staffed and others were getting served in a fairly timely manner. In the end, a manager came to us, 50 minutes after our arrival, to tell us that she (assuming the waitress) forgot to put in our order. They did try to atone by offering to cover the cost of our meal, but the entire experience was enough for us to decide that they weren't going to get that opportunity. We will stick with the Denny's by the airport, even though this one is 5 minutes from home....
Read moreThis was the worst restaurant experience I have had in a very long time. First of all, when we walked in it was not that busy and we couldn't even get a hostess to get us seated. Then after about 10 minutes of getting that figured out they seated us but never said who our waiter would be. Another 10-15 minutes goes by and finally the hostess came over and said she would take our drink order. So we ordered drinks, got those and they weren't even right and then ordered our food. I ordered an appetizer which took 30 minutes to show up. Then we kept waiting for our food and now we had been there for over an hour already and still no food, nor was our waitress anywhere to be found. So my mother found the manager after asking for her twice and all she could say was let me check on that. So finally an hour later we got our food which wasn't anything spectacular. And the best part was they said they gave us a discount for our troubles yet it was only $4 off and when my dad tried to use his AARP discount, which would have been more than the $4 discount, they said they couldn't because they already gave him a deal....I'm sorry but worst place ever....The management needs to get their stuff sorted out or get better management. This place wasnt busy, lots of servers never to be found. We over heard people apologizing to two other couples. Watched another couple get up and leave cuz they never even got served a drink. Terrible all the way around, would never recommend. I don't typically post anything about restaurants but this is...
