This tea company is filled with people who truly care about tea, their customers, and bringing smiles to folks' faces! I have not been inside their store, but I've shopped at their store online, and I truly felt like I was an appreciated customer! I was browsing their store online and saw a tea called Peanut Butter Kiss Cookie - I put it in my cart, but during the evening time, after work, when I went to buy it, it was out of stock!! I sent them an email asking when it would come back in stock, but I honestly wasn't sure when they'd respond, so I placed a tea order without the Peanut Butter tea. But to my surprise, they got back to me!! They told me that there was a little more Peanut Butter tea left, and would I like to add it to my order? They even called me to let me know about it - which I'm so thankful for!! I don't check my email very frequently and would've missed out on this tea if not for them reaching out to me directly! I'm so thankful to Autumn who processed my order and helped me snag this tea! It really made my day!! Now, onto how yummy these teas are! The Peanut Butter Kiss Cookie tea is AMAZING - so sweet and peanut buttery with a hint of chocolate - I've always wanted to try a peanut butter tea and it was exactly what I was hoping it'd be! I think I have a new favorite dessert tea! I also bought German Chocolate Cake, Fat Elvis (choco + banana) and Salted Caramel Drop and they are ALL wonderful! They are true masters of tea blending!! I love how many rooibos dessert teas there are because it's so hard to find caffeine free teas that are also sweet and tasty! Anyway, I have a new favorite tea company! I can't wait to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverall, an OK experience. The staff was very knowledgeable and the tea selection is great.
Prices are a little high but thatās expected of any local tea shop. I do wish that they were willing to portion the teas in some āin between sizesā because I might not need a huge bag or a sample bag. 4 ounce still seems a little bit large if I wanna try multiple flavors, but there is no in between from a sample to a 4oz or larger. We also asked for a 4 ounce bag of a specific tea and they were out, but unwilling to pour a 4 ounce bag, even though they had the large container on site which seemed odd to me.
My biggest gripe is that during our 20 minute visit I felt uncomfortable because one of the staff members noted sugar and sugary teas and additives on three different interactions as such a negative it made me uncomfortable even after I said, āI sometimes put sugar in my tea, but I like a variety of teas both with and without sweeteners, mostly withoutā to try and redirect the fixation conversation. She proceeded to ignore the fact that I gave her a hint that I was uncomfortable with the sugar comment and continued to harp on the fact that no sugar is healthy. I felt so judged that I almost put my items down and I probably couldāve spent a lot more money in time in there if they were less judgmental tea experts. I did skip getting a tea to go because I felt uncomfortable. Thatās a pretty cool feature that they have there though.
They do know their stuff though so Iāll still give them four stars, but be prepared for their demeanor if you start asking about different tea varieties and want to learn more about a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTea flavors, as it turns out, are the most diverse and remarkable of any beverage, and this is where you can find out for yourself just how far the palette can extend. One of the few local Wisconsin outlets for quality loose-leaf tea, these folks in their unassuming little space are excellent all the way around. They have a nice selection that includes both a great variety of traditional, plain teas and their own blends, and the staff is very welcoming and easy to ask questions of. Things worth noting: they do have some Guayusa, a highly caffeinated South American tea; some of the non-caffeinated herbal or rooibos blends are uncommonly excellent (some personal favorites include orange chiffon rooibos and chocolate mint rooibos); plain teas like peppermint are available and often turn out to be a real favorite; and the seasonals (things like fruity blends to ice in the summer, Christmas or fall flavors that can be very evocative) are always worth trying. They'll ship and do online and all as well. It's been a treat to discover...
