Christmas day, as I sat with my mother in the assisted living facility that she has been relegated to, I realized that the money that should be in my pocket is not there. I quickly made a mental note of the two places I stopped and used cash. The first was the Dunkin just a few blocks away. They welcomed me, got the manager, and immediately went to the video. A video that she was kind enough to show me without ever having to ask. We were both able to see and acknowledge my habbit of setting money down while I count, then watched as I put it back in my pocket. The second place was this McDonald's. I walked in with a good attitude and the cashier was as friendly and helpful as he could have been. I even told him I'm not trying to blame anyone, I was just hoping to find my almost 300$ that was gone. I waited s very short time and the manager came out with a clearly disbelieving attitude. She dismissively told me that she checked the video.bfrom the first words of "what do you want sir" to her last "get out of my store and never come back it was clear that I was wasting her time. At a certain point, to get a word in I more forcefully said "what's with the attitude" to which she replied (with attitude) " I don't have an attitude. I am a veteran who suffers from PTSD related anxiety. This condition almost rules my life and getting out is a big deal. I approached them with respect and even deference, what I got in return was disrespect. This all could have been friendly, I know that because it was friendly 5 minutes earlier at Dunkin. I was just asking for help tracking down a third of my monthly fixed income. Now I don't know if I should continue to look, or if it's a waste of time. I'll never know as I have no recourse. I'm not saying that this manager took my money, I am telling you that she could not have cared less about a customer who lost a significant amount of money, probably in their store. And that the solution was to treat her customer as if he was lying, as if she has a distain for us. How much do you think she cares about the quality and safety of the food we buy, which...
Read moreThe general manager who was working at this location (Lindsey)5/17 at about 4:15 pm was pressing the “order is ready for pickup” button on The Doordash tablet a full 10 minutes before the Doordash order was actually ready. I’ve been picking up Doordash orders from this location since 2019 and I’ve never had that happen to me before. I asked her why she was doing that, because Doordash will think I’m just standing around at the restaurant not picking up the order. She simply said “it’ll be 5 more minutes. The reason for this review is because she blocked me from receiving orders from all McDonald’s locations because she didn’t like me calling her out at her store in front of everyone. (I know how the Doordash tablet works) 3 years of Restaurant experience With the Doordash Tablet.
I’ll admit I wasn’t happy at all about this, because Dashers have a time limit when orders are ready to be picked up, and any standing around when an order is “ready for pickup” will put any Dashers “job” in jeopardy. I put that in quotes because I know lots of people don’t look at Doordash as real work. I really hope this issue can be resolved by the general manager at this location, or somebody higher up because this isn’t right. I’m sure her blocking me on the tablet was a misunderstanding that can be easily fixed! You’d think a GM would know better than to lie about orders being ready. Maybe she wanted the wait times to not look as bad as they actually were? Who knows.
How can you block me over me getting upset that you’re lying about Doordash orders being ready on the tablet? Hard to believe! If you drive for Doordash, be very careful of the incompetence that can happen here. They can put your “job” in jeopardy by making it look like you’re not picking up orders in a timely fashion. And don’t say anything about it because...
Read moreI gave my review the way I did because my fries were fresh but my other items sat for 25 minutes before my fries were done. Plus I placed my order when lunch started at 10:30 but I had to wait for 2-3 baskets of fries before I got mine. Not to mention there were not many people here. I was one of three in lobby including an employee that was on break and had his order. and that many drive thru orders could not have been taken. Just not Satisfied. If you have to wait for part of the order the sandwiches should be made according to the fries getting done. The warmer that the food sits on does not evenly warm and in 20 minutes lettuce wilts when covered with condiments and on a hot sandwich and then kept in a warmer. I have an honest opinion but I'm trying to be nice. Also why are they clearing the order before the customer gets their food. The whole reason for the times to completion is to make sure the customer is getting serviced correctly not for them to clear it to save their number while the customer is not getting the service the way...
