I really like the Greenfield location over the Shelburne Falls location. I will say however parking at the Greenfield location is very difficult. Often you have to park in the tow-away zone at the Welden garage next door or used bicycle world's parking lot. A unique location to Greenfield considering the history of the Taekwondo shop located just down the alleyway which I would never Park in due to the history back when an auto body shop. Now as far as the coffee roasters themselves I find that they are very expensive. I would have given them five stars but when two bagels with bacon egg cheese and onion cost you $16 it hurts. It's hit or miss on how good your bagel is going to be I love the Hadley Bagel there as I just described it above. But often times it takes more than one to make it through a morning. I have a lot of friends by really love it when they take your time to make it with care instead of just throwing it together and throwing it in a bag. You can tell the Baristas there who really enjoy being there and the others who are just there for the paycheck. I do like how they have a note touch process for cashing out. They're toasted coconut iced coffee is spectacular but again very pricey for the size. Their chocolate croissants are fantastic but again overpriced. This is a place I would like to support and be a patron of five days of the week but I can only afford to do it maybe four or five times a month if I don't pay the full electric bill and put a little bit to the side. I do think that the quality is not comparable to anything else that I can think of except for down in Deerfield at the four-way stop there's a little store that makes breakfast sandwiches and they are fantastic right behind Leo's Tavern. Problem next to Greenfield Savings Bank. But again I wouldn't say it would necessarily be comparable because they don't use the same ingredients or had the same sandwich offerings. But they're much more affordable you can get to breakfast sandwiches there for $8 with the works. Literally half the cost. I tend to stick to what I know because of the price at the Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters establishment I'm not much into experimenting and trying new things because if I don't like it then I'm out a good chunk of money. Not all of us are plush with money and during the pandemic I think most of us really notice how much things cost. I know I have become more observant in conscientious of this. I've never had their hot coffee but I see a lot of people walking out with them so it must be worth the investment. I will say I've had their lemon bread and I did not care for it at all it was a very artificial lemony flavor and I am 11 fanatic all my friends and families know I love lemon stuff. I am a very good food critic when it comes to Lemon category Foods or beverages. I felt their bread was too hard to sit and it was very heavy in your stomach as well not just in your hand. I would definitely skip over that and I have not bought it again since. I do enjoy using the Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters app as I live out of town so I can order when I leave my house and by the time I get to the Greenfield location my order is usually waiting on the counter for me and I don't have to do anything but walk in and pick up my order and go. It's even more contactless than being a walk-in. For someone like me who has health issues I want to be as contactless as possible during this pandemic. Everything Bagels I have ever had especially when they're toasted on the medium to a little darker. Another positive of their app is you can customize your order with options you wouldn't really maybe know where otherwise available. I will continue to be a patron of this establishment when I could afford to. It's nice to have something in our community that...
Read moreI've spent so much here over the years and it's gone so down hill. Don't bother unless ordering ahead anymore. THEY FULLY IGNORE YOU IM NOT KIDDING YOU CAN STAND THERE FOR HALF AN HOUR AND THEY WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE YOU! They will make the food let it sit and get gross under the counter until they decide to make your drink which lately isn't made until you get there and VERY burnt and awful. In the past every time I've ordered online it was always left on the counter for me to go and grab not held hostage until you have to quite literally get their attention just to find out half your order has been ready and sitting for usually over 10 minutes and the other half was never even started. I used to love this place but I won't ever be going back not after my last 5 experiences have all been like this. There's always an excuse, the ticket didn't print, we accidently threw it out, the computer. Yet they always half the food done it's just the drink so it seems more like they just dropped the ball and instead of taking accountability and doing better they would rather make a poor excuse give you awful coffee then send you on your way just to do it again the next time. The Hadley one is worse (rude baristas always on their phones and gross food) so in defeat I give up on Coffee...
Read moreConsidering that we have very few options for good coffee here in Greenfield, I can say: "I'm glad its here." Definite deficiencies to note, though. 1. Since covid, they close daily at 5pm, which is WAY too early. 2. That nice seating area, previously mentioned, is no longer available. The staff work area expanded & eliminated it. There are 2-3 tiny tables squeezed along a hallway wall. No nearby windows. 3. Prices are up (of course) 4. Coffee in self serve urns may not be as hot as you expect: ask about most recently brewed. 5. The only outside accommodation is a small stand-at table. Positives: the single-person rest room is typically clean & tended. (There is only one); multiple brews & flavors pre-made in pump pots; variety of sweets & sandwiches, some for 'grab & go'; quality of food seemed good when I last ordered. There is another location of this roaster that is approx 5 mi to the West, on Rte 2. Much more seating & elbow room at that location, which also has roasted coffee & food menu for carry or eat-in, plus some outdoor area for pleasant...
