This pizza is disgusting! I have had pizza at a lot of restaurants. This is the worst pizza I have ever tried to eat. The owner uses cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella with the result that the whole pizza is saturated in grease, from puddles of grease on top of the cheese down to the cardboard tray the pizza is served on. The crust has an unpleasantly crunchy texture. Kind of like overcooked bread but kind of rubbery. I am not sure how to describe it other than as gross. The sauce tastes good but is used very sparingly and so does little to diminish the emetic effects of the cheese, crust and grease that make up the rest of the pizza. I do not know where the owner gets the crusts from, but they are not fresh which may be why they are so bad. The crusts are kept in a refrigerator in back, already set in the deep dish pan they are cooked in with a niggardly amount of sauce spread over them. So, when you place your order, the owner just grabs a tray out of the refrigerator, sprinkles cheese and toppings on it and throws it in the oven. What comes out is the most nauseatingly vile pizza you can imagine. Worst of all, when I asked for my money back the owner made a big to do saying I don't know anything about cheese or pizza and he refused to give me my money back. I could not eat the pizza and I ended up walking out, needless to say, very disappointed.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant enough to dine in casually, and maybe some of the other food offered here is not as bad. I am not sure what else is on the menu. But if it is pizza you are looking for GO ELSEWHERE. You would be better served by chomping on a greasy sponge from your kitchen sink than buying this pizza. There are other places in Greenfield for pizza that are good, including Antonio's on Main Street and Goodies Restaurant down the street from here.

I have never written a review before, but felt a responsibility to make this public service announcement so someone else does not have to walk out of this place suffering from the nausea and disappointment that I...

I’ve picked up DoorDash orders from Village Pizza many times, but the attitude from Diane is consistently rude and passive-aggressive. One time, I asked her to seal the bag (which is standard DoorDash policy), and she responded with, “Well, no one else asked for it to be bagged,” in a tone like I had insulted her family. Even one of the kitchen guys made comments about it, like it was a joke. Every restaurant I pick up from seals orders. Obviously its a serious issue at Village.

More recently, I walked in and told her who I was picking up for. She looked at me but didn’t say a word. After about 30 seconds, I repeated it, and she snapped back, “Yeah, I heard you.” Then I stood there in silence for five more minutes until she finally handed me the food and said, “Thanks for your patience,” dripping with sarcasm.

If you’re a DoorDash driver, just be aware—asking for a sealed bag or simply doing your job might get you attitude here. And for customers: this is the energy behind the counter handling your food. It’s not “weird” to want a sealed bag—it’s part of the guidelines. Miserable attitudes from here. I’ve heard many snide comments made from them towards drivers right after they leave the restaurant while I’m...

Lines going out the door.... so great to see! People know the best food in town once they taste it!

People I know come from all over the country just to eat at this privately owned restaurant.

Once I introduce new friends to Village Pizza, they ask if we can go back there everytime!

The most ordered food from Village Pizza from our house is... The House Special Pizza/with ham instead of sausage, The Buffalo Chicken Pizza, The Fire Cracker Pizza, Hot Buffalo Wings, Steak & Chease Grinders/with mushroom, onion, and peppers, Lasagna, and Calzones. Although we've had almost all the menu items and they're all great!

Their food is so good they don't need to offer delivery, people will travel for food this good. If they ever offered delivery, I honestly believe it wouldn't be humanly impossible to keep up with the order damand, and with food this good, you don't want to mess with perfection. One will never find better food at any other Pizza Restaurant in the country.

This is a must eat at restaurant, to try at least once. You'll forever be going back for more, no matter...

I had an appointment in Greenfield, and afterwards we were searching for a good option for a late lunch. We chose Village Pizza after a quick look at the menu, photos, and reviews on Google, plus, I've almost never had a bad pizza from any place named "Village Pizza" so far. We ordered the house special (pretty sure that's what they called it here) and I have to say, it was AMAZING. Pretty much everything we were hoping for! Ever since we moved to north-western Mass after spending our lives in northern-central Mass, we have been searching for that perfect Greek New England style Pizza, and this was definitely it! Our only lament is that it is 45+min away. We had previously enjoyed the "Village Pizza" in North Adams but it abruptly closed the same week, and sadly so far we haven't found anything quite as good in our immediate area. I told my husband that I wished the fine folks at Village Pizza of Greenfield would come give some lessons to the Pizza houses closer to us! We will definitely be stopping again, as we do travel thru Greenfield on a regular basis.

Best pizza I've had in my 22 years on earth. Please don't ever change. NOTE: There's new ownership now, so this review is out of date atm. UPDATE 02/23/24: There’s been some hiccups I’ve heard about and seen in other reviews. I went and got a small CBR and a large hamburger onions and peppers. If village was a 10/10, this was maybe a 9.4/10, though the difference could be placebo. If the difference is real it’s minute enough for the details to be ineffable. Looking at the other reviews though, maybe I had a little luck, or my memory isn’t as good? Overall it’s still village, and I hope they continue to maintain the recipe as the years go by.

Been going here for years, pizza is awesome, crust and sauce are the best 🍕 It’s just a hole in the wall, family owned. Not anything fancy, but the food makes up for it. They do have limited beer on tap and some bottled beer. Just there and their 89 year old father still comes in, great family.
