42 Fry — Restaurant in Greensboro

I ate here years ago when it opened after the R Cafe moved, it was good food nothing too extreme- a fish joint. But my experience yesterday was definitely Review Worthy. More so about the customer service. IDK if the man was the owner or what but I came in there hangry and not really knowing what I wanted from menu. The man was patient and even offered a sample. There were a couple orders ahead of mine but he waited for me and honestly he didn't seem bothered but I also wanted to respect his time so I hurriedly ordered what I thought would be good for the group I was sent to order for. After my order(which Inflation is REAL and as a food vendor myself i KNOW these prices have all skyrocketed!) But after my order the guy went to the back and I realized, I think this man is solo dolo in this joint!!! ANOTHER patron came and waited for the guy to come back out and asked if he was by himself, the guy answered Yes, not with an attitude and no negativity but more so to answer his question, get his order and get line moving. I Smiled on inside and was also lowkey embarrassed I took so much of his time. Then also embarrassed because I really wanted to add a slice of pie lol When he brought my order out I did ask for the pie and asked how much and he thanked me and told me not to worry about it. Just visited this location to get a flounder sandwich combo and the kitchen guy was rubbing his face with his gloves i asked the cashier to have him change his gloves so while waiting for my food to finish the young girl in the kitchen came to me and stated why you being racist when I only asked the kitchen guy to change his gloves due to him touching his face with them she was super nasty and slammed my food on the counter so I asked for a refund and she got nasty this is not the place for good customer service. This was my first experience at 42 Fry. The atmosphere is welcoming, the cashiers great you and are nice. The one that helped was very knowledgeable of the menu and had good recommendations. I decided to try the shrimp basket with the roasted corn. I actually met one of the owners right when I walked in. He is very nice and is open to feedback on all of his customers experiences.

The shrimp had a good taste and season to them. The roasted corn was good, but I had to get another batch. I paid the $3.50 for 2 pieces of corn instead of one. My corn was cold in the middle. The roasted part was hot, but the corn was not hot all the easy through. Maybe make sure the corn is cooked all the way, then roast a little on the outside. Other than that, I had a grat experience and will return to try some other menu items.
