This place has gone downhill! If I could rate the service a negative or zero, I would. Staff will serve their friends/acquaintances first. I ordered and one of their friends ordered a few customers after me but still got their drink first. I even ordered food that had come out already. Normally, the drink is ready before the food, but not today. I will not be back, not even for meetings. I will suggest another place.
This isn't the first time I've had an issue with this place. Twice, I was charged extra for leaving something off and doubling another ingredient. This was never the case before, and it was the same person taking my order. When I asked a manager about it, they told me that they never charge extra. I told them I knew that because an acquaintance of mine orders the same thing all the time and has never been charged extra. When I confronted the person who was charging extra, they claimed they never charged me extra. I offered to show them the receipt and they ignored me. I really should've made a bigger deal about it then, but I pick how my energy is used throughout the day. However, the incident today sent a very powerful message to me as a customer and I'm listening.
It's a shame that this is really the treatment people receive still. I just know not to...
Read moreWife and I decided to stop by on our way home from an errand. Starting off, parking was tough to find since it’s right by UNCG on a busy street. However, the street was a cute little area, especially for a college part of town. If I was a college student or lived close by and could walk here, I’d consider it if it wasn’t for the food and coffee.
Wife’s espresso drink was way too strong, ingredient proportions were off and the espresso was very bitter and acidic. My matcha tea latte had too much foam, almost half of my mug. Avocado toast was probably the worst I’ve had in a long time. It was toasted bread yet came out a bit soggy with a few slices of tomatoes on top. And if you look closely, the avocado layer is very minimal. I would describe the amount of avocado as a very thin layer of butter you’d put on toast. And there was no flavor to it, whether because it wasn’t seasoned at all, there wasn’t enough of it to taste, or most likely both.
Only reason it doesn’t get a 1 star is for the friendly service and staff. We won’t be...
Read moreso the coffee was okay! but unfortunately the menu advertised vegan options- and when we asked we were informed that they had a soy chorizo and a dairy free cream cheese, as well as vegan cheese shreds. so we ordered a plain bagel with dairy free cream cheese, and breakfast burritos. well we had to specify not to add eggs to the burrito as well as go back to the counter and make sure they didnt add normal cheese to the burritos either. our burritos came out after a bit of a wait and they immediately said “wait, those have cheese on them” and took them back to remake them. A bit later they brought us burritos again. I had my partner check his burrito first and not only was the soy chorizo cold at this point- there was egg in the burritos. I didn’t have the patience to send them back again so we just left.
really disappointed overall, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with dietary allergies or restrictions. the bagel was okay but it was just a plain bagel. we spent a lot of money and it just kind of felt like a...
