Raaz has never ever let me down and food is prepared very quickly for a takeout place. Also great for takeout is the fact that you can place your order online without paying and pick it up, you donât have to call!
This is very much the âcomfort foodâ Indian place around here, you wonât pay through the nose as you would at the more gourmet Lemon Indian but youâll still get some very good food. Naan could definitely be improved upon and perhaps more flavors introduced, but Saag, Korma, and Kadai are all great dishes that wonât disappoint. If youâre getting curry (Veg and Non-Veg), get naan too, this is similar to the concept of pita in Middle Eastern and is used the same way, paired with entrees for scooping.
Iâve tried all âNon-Vegetarian Entreesâ (interesting to see this distinction made, where vegetarian is actually the more common category in Indian rather than the other way around) and all are amazing. Saag, due to looking like green mush, may be off-putting to look at and maybe wonât taste like what youâre used to in a curry at first as itâs not as spicy and I often like to add cayenne and pepper to it at home, but it is really good if you give it a chance! Only complaint is the sides of rice could maybe be a bit bigger, but since curry sauces are thick rather than what you might be used to in Thai, you donât need rice to hold the dish together.
If youâre trying Indian for the first time, Iâd recommend Raaz. If you want to level up and try gourmet Indian thatâs more expensive, go to Lemon. Thereâs also a lot of other great restaurants and coffee shops on Tate Street to enjoy after. Iâve never dined in at Raaz so I canât attest to...
Read moreHad the pleasure of eating here and I couldn't have eaten at a better restaurant. The location is easy to see and has an asthetic look. There are tables outside and inside fir the customers choice. I also have had the pleasure to have a look inside the kitchen and the system is nothing short amazing; everyone and everything had a uniform system and there is no time waste. The food takes at most 15 minutes to arrive and never cold. The owner sometimes comes as a surprise visit and it's always a treat to meet with him. If you enjoy great hospitality, food for your fit, and a wonderful location; this is the place to go. Raaz Indian Kitchen is definitely a place I will be...
Read moreUnsanitary. Hair in food. Manager refused refund. After two phone calls, they agreed to give money back but only in cash (did a credit card payment when ordered). They probably try to avoid legal fees that they are responsible for. Sent a friend to get cash which they refused even though all proofs and messages were provided. Manager demanded myself to show up (who is in a different state). Going to dispute the charge with bank and file a complaint with County Public Health Department and USDA food safety line for being unsanitary. Guilford county restaurant grade database already mention multiple reports of being unsanitary practices that can be checked online....
