American Deli — Restaurant in Greensboro

Their food is great! I’ve come here on many occasions at this point, trying many different things on the menu. I personally prefer Tilapia over Whiting at this location. I always get a chef salad. (Iceberg lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, banana peppers, green peppers, ham, turkey and cheese) They don’t have a big drink choice but it’s average. (Coke products) They have Tea and juice like fruit punch too. As far as staff, the young ladies up front are great! They both are honest and I appreciate that! The foreign guy, (guess he’s the manager) he’s a tough one. He gives “hurry up and buy” vibes and please know he will tell you off!! He will give you 1 tarter sauce for 2 big pieces of fish. You got 4 chicken tenders? No worries, you still only get 1 dipping sauce, of course that’s if the manager guy is taking or bagging orders. Now I have used their restroom but I will not eat there. Ordered a Garden Salad. It contained chopped onion and green peppers. Not at all conducive to salad consumption. It also had iceberg lettuce, shredded colby cheese, banana peppers, and tomatoes. The choices for dressing were limited, but my secondary choice, blue cheese, was amazing. Overall, the salad tasted great. Veggies were fresh and crisp.

The cashier had all the charisma of a hippopotamus. So there was a slight communication barrier. Probably more due to his soft-spoken voice than his nationality.

Very poor experience. The owner I'd very rude and un sanitary. I watched him come in from outside and go straight into people food without washing his hands. When the customer politely told him he did not want his food and to give him a refund. The owner proceeded to argue with him and refuse to give him a refund. Covid is everywhere and he just did not care. He is also very rude to his employees. I felt really bad for the young lady working that day. He made it seem like it was her fault and took it out on her in front of customers. This is not the first time I've seen him being very disrespectful towards employees and paying customers. I had to say something this time to keep the public informed on what type of business he is running.
