This is my first time ever leaving a negative review. It is not in the spirit of any harm other than to make the staff aware of improving in the future. I have been a consistent customer of this establishment for years , I absolutely love the sweets. That is why it was disappointing that when purchasing a salted caramel cupcake upon consumption it was embedded with walnuts. I have ordered this product multiple times with no nuts at all in the product. I could not eat my $6 cupcake because I am allergic to walnuts. The establishment was closed and I didnāt want to complain so I left it alone. Upon return to the shop I asked the worker if their salted caramel cupcakes come with nuts usually. She flatly replied no. I then told her that the cupcake that I had received had nuts in them and that I couldnāt eat it because Iām allergic . To which she had no response . At all. I simply got a piece of cake to where I could clearly see the ingredients and left. Now no one has a Time Machine and itās not personal to anyone. However as a business I think it is so important to pay attention and be aware that the product you are advertising is the product you are selling. Not just because of a taste factor , but more importantly because of the health and well being of your customers. From a customer service standpoint I think it so important to apologize to your customers on behalf of the business as a whole , to acknowledge what the customer has said, and to if possible try to provide consolation for the errors at hand. Truly disappointed. The very fact that I still choose to support this local business shows that I am not coming from a place of ill will. I couldāve taken pictures of proof or came up with negative energy. But that is not my intent. My intent is to promote for you to simply, do better and be better , especially when it is at the hands of your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEDIT: Downgrading to one star because of the bold-faced lies in the owner's reply. I have phone records showing I was the one who called them. I also did not ask for the cheesecake to be cut - the woman I spoke to on the phone asked if I wanted it cut and did not tell me that affected availability. Furthermore, if Amoroso's and Cheesecakes by Alex don't want to be connected by customers, members of the Amoroso family should not parade the connection around the community as if it's one business.

This is a lovely place to pop in and get a snack, but do NOT order from here or their sister bakery, Cheesecakes by Alex, for special occasions. I ordered two cheesecakes from them for my rehearsal dinner a week in advance. When I called the day I expected to pick them up to confirm the pickup time, they told me they only had one available and there was no way they could make another one in time. They acknowledged that they had the order written down but didnāt seem all that bothered they wouldnāt be able to fulfill it.
A couple years ago, I had a similar experience at Cheesecakes by Alex (same family owns it). They apparently write their custom orders on sticky notes on the freezer and somehow lost the order I placed for my boyfriendās birthday cake. When I came to pick it up, they accused me of not placing the order. Fortunately I had the receipt and was able to get a refund.
Despite this, I chose Amorosoās for our rehearsal dinner because my now-husband loves their cheesecake so much. I wonāt make the mistake again, and I donāt plan to go back to either establishment for everyday treats. For a place that has ornately decorated cakes in their display window, youād think theyād put more care into...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to this bakery today because I had a sweet tooth. I had been here before and was not very impressed, but I thought I tried again since I was passing by. The cashier walked out from the back of the bakery shortly after i walked in. It was obvious that I was interrupting her from doing whatever she was doing in the back and she was not interested in helping me. When she finally did ask me if she could help me, she was rude and abrupt. I clearly stated what I wanted and it was obviously the only piece of cake by that name on the menu. Surprised by the way she responded to me when telling her what I wanted I admittedly was just as sharp in my response. When she snapped at my response I told her that I was responding to her customer service or lack thereof. She proceeded to cut the cake and then rang up the slice for $10 and change. No slices on the menu were listed for $10. Again, surprised by her behavior and the price I told her that I wasn't familiar with the menu and I wanted to see where it said that was the price for that slice of cake. She couldn't show me. I don't like to be mistreated as a customer and I wasn't going to let my sweet tooth allow me to proceed with the sale. I've read other reviews and apparently this is a trend at your bakery. Overcharging and a rude cashier. As a business owner you should not allow this kind of behavior to continue. The young lady was wearing a Barbarito's shirt on October 4, 2023 at 1:30....
