3.5 out of 5. Atmosphere, menu options, food presentation, quality and taste were incredible! However the service was absolutely terrible, and there is barely space to walk.

We went at a busy time and had a 45 minute wait, which was understandable. When we finally got a table, we waited for at least 15 minutes before we were asked what drinks we wanted from a male host.

The online menu offers regular iced coffee, which I ordered. The male host seemed utterly confused about the request, he said “I guess we could do coffee and make it cold.” I said it was on your website and he still seemed to have no idea what an iced coffee was. He kept asking me if I wanted it decaf too? I just wanted a regular iced coffee because I needed caffeine. He seemed very confused, and so I just asked if they had iced lattes, which I didn’t particularly want. He said yes but then asked again if I wanted decaf, I again said no, we finally ended on an iced caramel latte.

Another 10 minutes go by, during that time the male host and a female waitress were discussing which tables were hers. It was obvious at this point my boyfriend and my table were completely forgotten. The female waitress eventually brings my boyfriend a coffee, then asks me if I ordered a cappuccino. I was too frustrated at this point to speak without sounding rude or upset, so my boyfriend told her I had ordered an iced caramel latte.

I noticed the male host asked the table next to us for their drink orders and a different shorter female waitress had to ask them their drinks again too. Why did the male host ask us for drinks if he can’t remember them? Why does he not have a pad and pen if he can’t effectively communicate drink orders to the waitresses?

I get my drink and after another 5-10 minutes, then she finally take our orders. I was asked while we waited for our food by our waitress how my latte was I said “okay.” She said oh okay with a tone and walked away. My boyfriend also asked for a water which never came, and later I asked for just regular coffee with cream because I really needed caffeine and didn’t really want a latte to begin with, the cream was also forgotten.

Again, the food and atmosphere is incredible, the only other issue is there’s no space to walk between the tables. I understand wanting to maximize space but our waitress squeezed and crouched between the tables to ask the table next to us for their order and her bun was literally inches from hitting my boyfriend in the face. I could barely squeeze through sideways, and an elderly gentleman sitting next to us really struggled to get out of the booth. Not an accessible layout.

Honestly we’d love to come back again just for the food alone and to support local businesses but the poor service and ridiculous wait we experienced before and during makes it not worth it. Might try again in a few months to see if it improves. 3.5/5 only because it’s the best breakfast food I’ve had in Greensboro. Better than Tex and Shirley’s but at least Tex and Shirley’s has space to walk and...

Food was decent, but extremely disappointed in the service we got here. We came in around 2pm on a Thursday & they were much busier than we expected but we were willing to wait. I worked in the restaurant industry for ~10 years & I put a lot of emphasis on being patient & kind to the staff, but this particular staff made it difficult. We put our name down with the host & he said there was one party in front of us. No problem, we can wait. After about 45-60 minutes of waiting i went back to the host stand & explained our situation & asked for a time estimate. She told me there were 4 parties ahead of us. I tell her that online it only says one party, & reiterated we had been waiting for almost an hour. She tells me that it probably says that because we were put down for "any table" so it's counting the outdoor seating. We never said we were against sitting outside. There were 5+ outdoor tables open the entire time we had been waiting but we assumed they weren't being used due to a lack of staff to cover them. At this point I'm clearly frustrated with their reasoning for leaving us waiting for nearly an hour & I tell them I don't really care where we sit as long as we're able to eat. They sat us immediately, which tells me that we probably would have continued to wait for 2+ hours if i had never checked back in with the staff (considering they were somehow under the impression that 3 more parties that came after us should be sat first, i imagine that trend would have continued). The girl that walked us to our table made a backhanded comment about how "the staff is hungry too you know" - then go in the kitchen & order something? It seemed as if she was scolding me for being frustrated that they were not giving good service. After that, our server was nice & attentive (the first staff member that seemed to care about doing a good job), she got everything as quickly as she could & another server that helped her run food saw us earlier that day, recognized how long we had been waiting, & apologized to us, emphasizing that it was unacceptable. At the end of the meal nothing was comped (personally i wouldn't have charged for the coffee &/or appetizer that we ordered considering the service we were given, but I paid without making a fuss). It was only after we had paid & had our food boxed up, ready to get out of the sun & back into the air conditioning, that the server suggested she bring us a free dessert to make up for the experience. The way she said it implied that it would take about 5 minutes for her to grab it & bring it to us. Instead we sat for another 15-20 minutes waiting for her to bring us something we weren't dying to have. At the end we decided that if she didn't bring it out in the next 5 minutes we were leaving without it, & she came out with a box 4 minutes after we made that decision.

Overall the food was good but definitely not worth the headache we went through to get it. Would be willing to give the place one more shot but probably won't be back...

I arrived at 2:15pm on a Saturday to meet friends for lunch. It was one of their birthdays. They beat me there. I first learned of this place via a Yelp Event a few months ago. The birthday friend suggested a chain restaurant for my treat to lunch but I suggested this instead. The managers Vanessa and Ryan, were present during the visit. I first met them at the Yelp Event.

The waitress came over at 2:23pm. We weren’t ready yet and she came back. We ordered at 2:28pm. The birthday friend got skillet with pork link with eggs over easy with white bread and strawberry jam. My other friend got steak and eggs with hashbrowns with a side of pork sausage gravy. I got their chicken and waffles with hash browns and strawberry jam.

I finished my water fairly quickly and it took a while for waitress to refill water. The food came at 2:42pm. My chicken was a little salty but cooked amazingly. The waffles were delicious. The chicken and waffles come as a sandwich vs separate. At some point, I ate them separately to dip my waffles in the AMAZING strawberry jam.

One friend said. “The steak is flavorful and juicy” The other said, “The skillet was pretty good; I was expecting a different type of link.” My friends got a piece of bread with their meals and they both felt that more than one piece of bread would’ve been better. They highly enjoyed the strawberry jam, which I hyped up. One friend added “I liked their music selection” and I concur.

The major issue here was there was a LONGGGGG delay in receiving the bill, for an unknown reasons, initially. We waited 35-40 minutes after we were DONE eating.

We saw one of the managers, Vanessa, talking with our waitress, Alina. When the waitress returned, she stated there was an issue with the checks while trying to split it, I believe. Apparently another table, who already left, paid for our food. So we paid for theirs. We didn’t overpay and they somehow made it work.

I worked at a restaurant before this type of situation was handled differently, even when I was in charge. Regardless, we should’ve been communicated with to be made aware about what’s going on. They could’ve just made a new check for what we ordered and figured out the rest later because 35-40 Mins is a LONG time to wait.

One of my friends told me that they felt that the issue should’ve been handled in private. The cash register is in the front and they (along with other tables) could hear what Vanessa and Alina were saying…

Loyalty program isn’t the best, in my opinion. You get 1 point per $3 spent. After 50 points, you get $5 off… you have to spent $150 to get $5 off.. it’s honestly pointless unless you’re going to be a regular. Im enjoyed in so many rewards programs and most places have 1 point per dollar spent.

Overall, this was my second time here and I’d likely return again. We really enjoyed the food. If it weren’t for the check issue, it would’ve...

Went back for a second time, so I thought I would add to my first impressions: this time we went for dinner on a Sunday night, and it was actually really good. I had the birria, my husband got the chicken and waffles, and my MIL got the wings (which me and my husband also tried). Then we tried the beignets for dessert. The food was excellent; probably the best wings I’ve ever had. Service was also decent; we didn’t experience a wait this go around and the waitress was pretty attentive. Only complaint from our second visit was there were so many flies — unusually high amount for a restaurant imo. Everything else left me wanting to go back. ————————————————— First time visiting and the food was great; overpriced but still great. However, what wasn’t great was the hostess/wait staff. We waited for over an hour when we were quoted a 25 min wait. (Arrived at 9:45 on a Saturday morning, seated at 10:50). The wait wouldn’t have been an issue IF they had been honest, but that wasn’t the case. We also watched as every party that came in was told 25 mins as well, when clearly it was way more with the limited seating and amount of people waiting. To make the drastically under estimated wait worse, they didn’t listen to a thing we said. We clearly communicated we needed a table (not a booth and not the bar) from the moment we put our name in, but after waiting over 45 mins, they tried to set us at a booth (when a family that had put in their name in after us was just seated at a table). Incredibly annoying to say the least, when they could just be honest about their wait times from the start… I will say the food made up for the other issues so we’ll probably give it another chance; however if you’re quoted 25 mins and the line indicates otherwise, trust that it will be MUCH MUCH longer. They have a sign at the host booth that says peak times can expect a 20 min wait, so my guess is the host staff is instructed to never quote over a certain amount of time regardless of the actual estimated wait, and that lack of honesty doesn’t sit well with me.
