I have no association with this restaurant however I do enjoy it. I mostly see that it does cater to actual Hispanic folks so this being said I just have to Reply to those complaining about whether this is a real Mexican restaurant or not.
The Americanized version of Mexican food that most “American" people are accustomed to Is what you should truly be complaining about. In Mexico (and at home) yes, our rice a lot of times Will have vegetables mixed in it. I also saw several complaints about The menu not having English on it. I mean do you want authentic or not? Maybe they will place numbers on it in the future. I mean #'s worked great for McDonald's 😂.
Most restaurants, as I stated that cater to more Americans than actual Hispanics aren’t even serving authentic food because they know you won’t eat it, hence, they wouldn't make money. Most of our food is highly seasoned and somewhat too spicy for those softees out there. So I don’t believe it’s an accurate reflection to say that the food is horrible when the food that is horrible you think is great because that is what you are used to.
Side note: The Japanese and Chinese food You eat is also not true to their customs. They are businesses. As such they make $$ off...
Read moreI had been enjoying the food and service at Los Koros for over 5 years until today 9/10/24. I ordered 2 Mojarra Frito to taken out and I was the 1st customer of the day. The female asked me if I wanted everything and I said yes. The order total was $29 plus change. To my chagrin, when I got home I had no chips, no red picante sauce and no lemon/lime. I called and told them at Los Koros and they said I can come back and get the items. When I went back, I asked for another bag of chips and another picante sauce and the same female and male from the earlier order told me it would cost extra. I told them they should accommodate me due to the inconvenience they cause me in coming back after I went all the home before I discovered the missing items. They still refused to give me another bag of chips and picante sauce. On top of that the fish was old and tough probably from the day before. I told them that they dropped the ball and God bless you. 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 I will not be going...
Read more1st time in here since it changed. This place has changed owners and names 3 times in the past 6 months. The one that's in there now... Terrible! Slow service. Server didn't speak English worth a damn. And... They don't have tea? This is NC and you don't have tea in your restaurant? The beans were like soup, and the rice was not spanish rice... It was white with peas and carrots. And you're a Mexican restaurant...?
Everything on the menu is expensive as hell.
Had to ask the server 3 TIMES for chips when we sat down. When we finally got them they tasted burnt. But didn't look it. As like others have said the salsa was just meh.
I ordered shrimp nachos and it tasted like a burnt tortilla with a shrimp on it.
Kids running in and out of the kitchen and through out the whole restaurant.
Hopefully this place will close down in a few months and someone with some sense will open a REAL...
