Food was top notch even their salads are delicious. I could probably go back for just salad. But read until the end for the service part.
BBQ they brought out were really good. Don't miss the picanha it was my favorite. The chickens were good but only get a few as they're bigger chunks and when you have multiple pieces of it it starts to slow you down.
The only thing missing was probably the sauces to go with the meat. As you have too many meat you'll need some flavors to cut the meaty feeling. We ended up eating more grilled pineapple to fix that. Don't miss the pineapple it was soooooo goooood!!!! Tiramisu was a meh though.
The meat guys came to your table regularly just be sure to flip the yes/no because they will not stop putting more on your plate. They will even ask if you want even though you flip no.
We came home feeling miserable and that whole night we were suffering from meat sweat and bloated and gassy. I mean it was a great meal but eating too much meat could kill you š
One huge down side to me is probably the hosts. When we entered the restaurant one of them looked at us like we couldn't afford to eat here. I dressed up super nice that night as it was new year's eve and also my husband's birthday. My husband also had his dress pants and dress shirts and leather shoes on. After I said I had a reservation he still didn't even smile or make a better facial expression to greet customers. It was also the same when we left. He knew when we were walking towards the exit as I saw him glanced at us but didn't even say thank you or goodbye until I said it.
Also I noted in the reservation that it was my husband's birthday and I was expecting something like a small birthday cake or staff coming out to say happy birthday but while we ate the whole time none of that happened. I mean paying this kind of price at a restaurant a little attention to details matter. I don't know if this is lost in translation kind of thing between the host and waiter but this certainly gives me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in town & took my Godson, who is a starving athletic college student. He hadn't been to a Brazilian steakhouse before while I've been to many. For the most part he loved it, more so the concept. I'm trying to expose him to different experiences & quality so he was excited about all the food he could eat. He didn't get much from the bar, just some Asparagus really. Nothing really exciting stuck out there.
I, on the other hand, was not at all impressed, though I didn't tell him that. I pay the same $50 price for others with triple the size buffet bar and more/better meat options. The bar was just ok with your basic options. Salad with toppings, a few pasta/salad options, some individually cut up vegetables, some kind of stewed flounder, an unnecessary amount of soup options, rice, shrimp & mussels. The meat was almost inedible for me. It was super tough/chewy & lacked flavor. It all tasted the same. I literally couldn't tell which was what on my plate based on the flavor. I did like the chicken drumsticks though. They also closed the bar while we were still dining so we had to rush to go throw a bunch of stuff on a plate in case we wanted more. The bar shouldn't close until dining is complete since I paid for it. Otherwise, don't allow late (8pm) reservations on weekdays.
I would only return for my Godson but I also watched him naw on pieces of meat trying to get a bite, so I'm sure once I take him to a different one he'll be over Leblon. However, service was great, and I'm happy he enjoyed his 1st Brazilian Steakhouse...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went here for my aunt's birthday and while it wasn't a bad experience, we won't be back.
Let me preface this by saying my husband and I have been to several different Brazilian steakhouses and this was our second time visiting Leblon ā the first time was 10 years ago and that experience was also underwhelming. We'd hoped things would improve over time, but we were disappointed.
The staff is nice, the restaurant is clean, and they have a great selection for the salad bar. However, at a Brazilian Steakhouse, we come there for the meat. And the options they had were just lacking ā mostly chicken and pork with only a few beef selections, and several of their beef selections were wrapped in bacon, which was disappointing as I don't eat pork. Add to that, the servers struggled with meat temperatures. We prefer our meat medium to medium well, however, almost all the meat we were served was either rare or well-done.
I think the most disappointing aspect was the flavor of the meat ā it was just, mediocre. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't satisfying either. We also had to flag several of the meat servers down at times because they would skip our table altogether, which, honestly, was quite annoying.
The best part of the meal was the house drink I ordered, which was sweet and strong enough for me to appreciate without being overwhelming for a family dinner. Our server was great and my family really enjoyed the salad bar and the cinnamon pineapple ā which was delicious. So, overall a decent experience, but not a restaurant I would...
