UPDATE - In the recent past I had provided a relatively nice review for this particular McDonald's. The reason for that was while they had excellent management there, the place ran beautifully. The young manager was exemplary in his interactions with customers and was very kind to his staff, although no nonsense. He expected everyone to work with his customers to their highest potential. However, in the past couple of months, things have changed significantly. Especially with those working the night shift. It's obvious that this place is experiencing a negative change. I've been there many times, but I've had back to back experiences that have been negative and actually have me going elsewhere to find food quality and customer service that is enjoyable. The level of customer service here is waning and it's really too bad to see it happening. Even if the food is ordered fresh as customers are encouraged to do if they so desire, the food will come out in a minute or so, so cold that cheese won't melt, buns that are crunchy on the edges, even though the employee will tell the cook the order is fresh and it's stated as such by the cashier on the order. They are rapidly becoming complacent and that would include the management that is frequently there at night, - Now during the morning hours, it's a little safer to get what you would like to see because it's generally busy and it all pretty much has to be fresh. My advice? If the parking lots and drive through aren't packed, it will never matter at night, they don't care if you want it fresh, you will be ignored. You may stand at a register for several minutes before anybody bothers to take your order regardless of the fact that they look right at you repeatedly and stand idle at the window awaiting an order that isn't going to be out for a bit. Multiple employees will walk past you if you require assistance and often, you may attempt to get someone's attention and they will pretend they never hear you. Night service has become horrible here and should seriously be evaluated and corrected by general management. And if you HAVE to get through fast, be sure to hit the drive through because that's what they are more focused on as opposed to people who walk in to order. You won't get fresh food and may have to take it home to your microwave and pretend they actually cared enough to make it fresh, but you'll get it faster that way. Personally, I'm taking my business elsewhere for now until I learn of change there. The mornings are still possible, no more nights for me for awhile. Management AND employees on the night shift are rude, uncaring, and blatantly Oppositional and really believe that their customers are stupid and won't know the difference from what they order and what they receive. They assume they will walk out and not bother themselves by the time they get home with their orders. Drive through is safer for them, they can toss all of their old food out the window and hope no one comes back. Believe me, I've been there many times when disgruntled customers come back with cold food at the end of their busy day and couldn't even get a break from McDonalds. Sad really. I wish they would bring their old manager back, he was a Godsend. I would have changed the stars here, but it wouldn't allow...
Read moreOh my good lord, help me. I don't want to sound wrong with how this poor this McDonald's just couldn't handle a "big order." At least that's what a manager said to me as she brought me my food. So let me start with the food. It was just fine, and thank God the manager told me she wanted to check because she said it's a lot of food. I was like, ok. But you see, it had been like 15 minutes beforehand that my wife placed our order, and so we thought it would be about done when we get there to pick it up. But!!! My wonderful, thoughtful, beautiful wife forgot that we were pulling a trailer, and it went all downhill from there. Because I spent another 10 minutes trying to TIME the right place to park, being that I would need to walk in to get our food. So nope. No good place to park. And nobody wanted to leave at the time. So I parked on another street and walked up to get our order, which was most likely ready by now.
No, because when I walked up to get our food, I said, "we have a trailer, so I had to walk in to get our food." Our order number is CW16. I believe it was. The young man who I could see in his eyes wanting to help me had no idea what I was talking about. Poor man said, "I will try to see." Walked back in the hornets nest and came back with "I don't know." I said ok let me get my phone and I will show you the screen. He said ok. So I walked back out thinking. Why didn't I bring my phone with me? " Oh, because it was going to be easy. So, I got my phone. Asked my wife to send me the screenshot she was like, ok? I walked halfway back. My phone is dead! Oh, that's why. So walked back to the jeep, got her phone, walked back, and was ready to show the app to the worker and No service! Oh, that's right. My wife's phone doesn't have service because she kills all of her devices with the apps that have messed up her phone.
So now what! At this point I have been waiting for at least another 20 minutes Can't show the order but know the number at the time and that poor kid was trying to dive into this lost order CW16 and couldn't find it. No one could because it's CW! CW! Counter Window! I was like, " Look, I have got a trailer, and if my wife with the messed-up foot has to come in here. Oh, and by the way, the tops were off our jeep at the time, so she had thrown a blanket over herself because it was stupid hot and it was new construction there so No shade. And she was slowly dying of heat. However the food had arrived and someone found the problem and brought me our food. I walked away thinking the staff don't talk to customers anymore. You walk up to a screen and order your food but problem is when there is a change and people are talking to a staff member about a change. They don't know what CW MD APP or whatever crazy program thing they all are looking at. They don't know how...
Read moreWell, I guess I didn't learn my lesson from the last time that I posted a review on this McDonald's. This time (August 17, 2020) I used the app to place my order, and requested the curb side pick up. On arrival, two cars in the drive-thru (that's right, TWO) one at the pick-up window, and one placing an order at the speaker. So, I thought, "This shouldn't be that long of a wait since there are only two other cars in line." If there were people waiting inside, I figure there wasn't that many since this location is drive-thru and take out only. So, the car at the window leaves, and the car at the speaker pulls around. Pretty soon, he leaves too. So, I figure, "Ok, now my food should be coming out shortly." Keep in mind, NO ONE ELSE HAS PULLED IN YET. So, the drive-thru lane at this point was EMPTY. So, we wait, and wait, and wait. And, while wait, ANOTHER CAR COMES IN. AND ANOTHER, AND ANOTHER, AND ANOTHER. Soon, there is a LINE in the drive-thru. And, as the line forms, one by one, the cars that came in AFTER me have placed orders, picked up, and drove away! All while I am still sitting there. Even though, my order was placed and received BEFORE any of these cars that I am watching come in and leave one by one. I turned my hazard lights on so that they knew that I was waiting. NOTHING. I blared my horn to try and get some one's attention. NOTHING. It wasn't until I parked IN FRONT OF THE CAR THAT WAS WAITING IN FRONT OF THE WINDOW, that I FINALLY (almost 15 minutes later) was I greeted with my order as I was WALKING IN THE DOOR. I said it before, and I will say it again, the MLK McDonald's typically have their A-game. It might be worth my while to return my business...
