Cook Out — Restaurant in Greenville

After a LONG drive, I stopped by cookout to get something to eat.

What a horrible choice I made!!

I should've went to Wendy's or some other restaurant where they have workers who can actually understand ENGLISH.

I ordered a cheeseburger tray. I get to my destination, after a long drive and hours of being on the highway, to find out that they gave me a barbeque sandwich.

It would be been ok, but I DON'T eat pork!!

It's NOT the first time that something like this has happened when I just happened to stop by a "cookout" in Eastern NC.

It's safe to say that I won't be stopping by another one of these restaurants in Eastern NC EVER again!!

I grew up eating cookout all the time in in Greensboro. I've NEVER had a problem at any of the stores in Greensboro, but as soon as they started putting cookout in Eastern NC, I've had nothing but HORRIBLE experiences!!

RESTAURANTS in Eastern NC are just TERRIBLE!!

I WOULDN'T advise anyone to waste their time...

The food served at Cook-Out tastes great. I would have to give the food 5 stars. However, two different employees at the register have attempted to jip us a total of three times, twice within the past week. This is at the cookout on 10th Street by Food Lion.

This is what happened on all three occasions: Once we get to the window ready to pay, we gave the lady at the register a $5 bill, which is a dollar and change over what the bill is. She then gives you back an incorrect change amount (twice it was exactly $1 less than it was supposed to be) and says "Your food will be right out." Now, we have been watching out for this and have caught employees twice in the act. They say "Oh, I'm sorry, did I forget to give you your dollar?" and promptly give it back. Coincidence this has happened three times at one restuarant?

If you go there and pay with cash, be sure to check your change! I've tried calling the manager three times, but no one...

I only went here twice (at night) and both times the person at the drive thru had a nasty attitude. The first time the lady was very impatient and rude. I’m assuming she wanted me to keep my order short because after I said the second thing I wanted she had a really bad attitude. I couldn’t believe how rude she sounded just to a customer ordering food. Once I pulled around she just took the money and gave me my food without saying a word. The second time I went there was a different lady but she was no better. She sounded very impatient while I was ordering. When I asked her a question about the menu she didn’t say anything at all and pretended not to hear me. This place seriously needs new staff or more training or something.
