CONS: - There was a flea on my bed that jumped on my arm. I didn't see any others, but it was alarming nonetheless. - The microwave light was ridiculously bright; I had to cover it so it wasn't keeping me up all night. - I found some hair in the tub upon my arrival; I didn't take a picture as I just wanted it gone, so I grabbed a tissue and removed it myself. - There was a gap in the door that let in the very bright hall lights. - Lots of loud music, door-slamming, and talking coming from housekeeping in the morning. - The curtains don't darken the room; the ones that would have, only covered the sides and were made to not be pulled to the middle. - The bed topper was stained and the pillows were some of the worst I've used. - The nightly rate was kind of high. PROS: - They had a good hot breakfast, as well as a variety of to-go items. - The front desk check-in lady was awesome and very helpful later, as well. - The bed was decently comfortable. - The A/C worked great. - There are lots of lights in the room. - Someone from housekeeping asked if I needed services when they saw me in the hall. - Lots of parking in a well-lit lot, and I was able to park below my room's window. - The check-out lady was also awesome. - It was pretty clean. - It was quiet most of the time, as I was closer to the stairs than the elevator. Overall, I was pleased with my stay, and will stay here again when I come back for vacation.

Everything was initially great when we checked in the room, it was until my son went to use the sofa bed and there was an out of order sign. I went downstairs to the front desk and asked if there was a list of rooms that stated the pull out couch was out of order. Derek’s personality instantly changed, he kept asking questions but never allowing me to answer them. At one point I asked “do you ever allow ppl to answer the questions you ask?” and his response was “not really”. He kept asking me what I want him to do and in the same breath told me “it looks like you are going to be stuck with that room”. I wasn’t even looking for a new room but wanted to be compensated for not having the room type I paid for. I recorded the interaction! It’s almost like he has multiple personality disorder coupled with substance abuse something is definitely mentally wrong with him. It’s insane that I went from complimenting him when I checked in on how efficient he was, only for him to instantly have zero control of himself. He kept saying “I’m about to get off and want to go to sleep”. At one point he pretended to call the cops, I almost thought I was being punked. I called my husband as I was standing there and told him what occurred and Derek yells “I didn’t really call them that’s just a scare tactic I like to use”. That man is unhinged and shouldn’t work in the hospitality industry.

Stayed here after spending a few days in a different (more expensive) chain hotel in Greenville. This place was by far the best. The rates were lower, the pet fee was reasonable, and the person who answered the phone to take my reservation was actually the person behind the front desk (instead of a call center somewhere). I also noted that everyone working here seemed to enjoy their job and they smiled and spoke to me in a friendly way, which is more than they did at the more expensive chain hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, the shower was great, and they were more than happy to supply me with extra towels etc. The lobby/dining room set up is cute/cozy, and they were decorating for Christmas when I was here. At some hotels, “pet friendly” means they are grudgingly allowed with a steep fee, but the staff here actually smiled at my pet, gave me a room on the first floor because of him, and told me how to easily get to the outside door. There is a pet area set up at the back/side of the building with clean-up bags. I would definitely recommend this location and stay again if I needed to.

Wow! New Best Western was a great choice for where to stay during my nephew's graduation weekend. First I made reservations back in January and they were for the wrong day. I called the office and they quickly straighten it out and emailed me. I called again to make sure that the reservations were valid and they assured me that they were. They even sent me another email confirmation. When I arrived the hotel is brand-new and looked Beautiful. I was immediately greeted by the nicest to front desk clerks in the world. They checked us in without incident even though I had made the reservations but my mom and I were splitting the rooms. No problem whatsoever. They provide a full breakfast in the morning which includes eggs and sausage and waffles and bagels and toast and oatmeal. The rooms were huge and very comfortable the air-conditioners were perfectly even though it was very very hot that weekend. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable the beds slept like a dream. Every single worker for the for best Western the lien counter greeted me said hello and asked me how I was doing. It's not what I expected from a best Western but I was very impressed. I will make sure to book this hotel room the next time I come to Greenville North Carolina. Best western management you should be proud of this hotel!! If I had to make a complaint, it was that there was a entire floor full of teenage boys there for a baseball tournament. They decided that they were going to run up and down the hallway at 1 AM in the morning. Luckily that only happened one night and did not happen the second night so we were able to get sleep. My only other little small complaint is that they still use bedspreads which I'm sure are not washed every day. I just threw it off the bed and slept under the sheets so it was...

Room was filthy. There was something all over the wall behind the couch and the ceiling. When we pulled the sofa bed out we found trash in it. I reported all of the above items that night and nothing was offered. We were told they would make house keeping aware. When we checked out we accidentally left a crochet baby blanket in the room. I immediately called the day of checkout and asked if it had been found. I was told housekeeping was gone and they would call me back in the morning. I did not receive a call back. I called for the following 4 days and continued to be told someone would call me back. As of today no one has called me back. When I called today, the lady that answered the phone said let me get you someone in housekeeping. She didn't place the phone on hold and I could hear her the entire time as she was continuously checking in people for about 20 min. She finally came back to the phone and said I asked housekeeping and they haven't found a blanket. I responded you are lying to me you have not asked anyone I have heard everything you have said the past 20 min and all you have done is check in people. She immediately placed me on hold and got Naik on the phone. I expressed my frustrations with the hotel and its staff and they assured me I would get a call back today. We shall see. If you leave something accidentally in your room based on my experience you will not get it back. The staff will lie to you and really appears to not care about their customers. I have an extremely upset child over leaving their blankie behind. I will be making numerous trips to ECU and I will not be staying in this...

HOW on earth is this place rated over 4 stars?! I've come to the conclusion that they're all from people on vacations or just people that don't care about bad service as much. Check-In was an absolute headache. Kristy (site manager) was extremely rude and uncouth. When I (finally) got checked in, there were stains on my comforter, stains on my towels, and the hallways smelled completely awful. It honestly smelled like something had died. The included breakfast was not worth it. As someone who travels every week, there are MUCH better options out there. They have the same waffle maker that every other hotel has, however, they water down the mix significantly. They put cheese in EVERY single batch of eggs they ever make- so I hope you like congealed nasty mystery substance with your breakfast. They don't have very many options at all and everything is sticky and dirty. I was highly unimpressed with all of it honestly. The dishes used for breakfast are literally paper and there was even something black in my cereal. They have an evening snack bar that consists of overly salty cheap pop corn, stale trail mix, boxed cookies, and watered down lemonade. Disappointing. I'm convinced that they don't wash their pillows. I'm never sick, but every morning I woke up here, I had a sore and swollen throat. One night I decided to use clothes instead of a pillow (desperate, right?) and what do you know? No sore or swollen throat. That disgusted me. I will never again even think about coming to this hotel. Everything was gross and too many corners...
