Bojangles — Restaurant in Greenville

I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. I don't go to bojangles very often, but I do recall that all the other locations that I have visited in the past have had fried chicken early in the morning. In the Greenville area and Raleigh areas. I went with some family and I wanted to order 3 piece meal of fried chicken. The lady at the registered told me that it was available until after 1030am, it was 9am. So I ordered a chicken biscuit meal. One of my family members who was with me ordered grits as a side for her meal. After waiting for almost 5 minutes for our order, the young man told us that they were out of grits and offered a different side. We asked if they were completely out or if it cooking. He said it was going to be 10 minutes. She took the different side that was offered. After we had been eating and talking for about 20 minutes, I went up to the counter to get her a side of grits because she really wanted them. When I went to place the order, they said that they were cooking and it was going to be 10 minutes. So I asked why does it take 30 minutes to cook them. The young lady said that it didn't take that long. And that when I told her that when we first placed our order almost 30 minutes earlier, we were told that they were going to be 10 minutes. She had just arrived for her shift, so she was not aware that we had ordered them with our original order and that we were already told the same thing. She was very friendly. I love bojangles, always have and always will, the food has always been amazing, and I will still go to bojangles just not this one, the employee that work there just don't care, and the unit director she walked around without helping anyone in line, I waited a total of 20 minutes to get food, all the food was made fries and my tenders and the biscuit was all made it took them 20 minutes to put everything together, the lady up front was amazing but had no help, several employees walked by her not trying to help her, another off duty employee decided it was a good idea to talk to all the employees and keep them from working when there was 7 other people in line and a line of cars in the drive thru around the window and again the unit director walked around and did not help, she stepped back into her office and didnt come back out towards the end of my 20 minutes. This is very disappointing because ive worked for Bojangles myself when I was in high school back in cary and to see the same company just different location have a different attitude towards working for bojangles kills, because bojangles is truly an amazing company to work for. My family owns restaurants all over NC and this location needs a new management team or the management team needs to be trained more due to the employees slacking. The management team should be held responsible and push their employees for nothing but the best and this is not...

Now listen, I didn’t just walk into Bojangles…I strutted in like I was about to attend a fried chicken gala. The scent of buttery biscuits slapped me in the face like a grandma reminding you to eat. The cashier greeted me like I was returning home from war. I hadn’t even ordered yet and I already felt spiritually nourished.

I got the Bo’ Berry biscuits (aka edible happiness), a Cajun Chicken Filet Biscuit that deserves its own holiday, and seasoned fries that had me speaking in tongues. I almost proposed to the sweet tea—it’s THAT good. And don’t get me started on how crispy that chicken was. One bite and I swear I heard banjos playing in the background.

Even the drive-thru line moved fast like they knew I was hangry and unstable. Staff was upbeat, smiling like they knew they worked at the culinary Holy Grail of breakfast and beyond.
