I came to make a review about my more than satisfying visit to my favorite pizza place when I saw a negative comment that was recently uploaded. According to Melody Carter, D’al’s has “poor customer service”. I would like to disagree, because the staff are some of the most lively, caring, and attentive people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Forget the amazing food, the people are what make D’Allesandro’s. As a loyal customer who has been eating there since their first year, I have never ever had a problem with any of the staff… because I show them respect and kindness. I don’t understand the low star reviews, I am full Italian and I know good pizza and D’al’s is top notch. Who is even getting food at 8:35 pm when most places close at 9 on the weekdays. I worked in a kitchen and was a server throughout high school and my first few years of university-it’s not easy. It’s a difficult job and when it comes to closing time, employees want to go and closing takes a long time. Next time you see a restaurant is closing, choose to go the next day. Mangia bene, ridi spesso,...
Read moreWe order a GF pizza with 3 toppings which quickly became a $20something dollar pizza for a 12” we are ok paying extra for GF that is a given. . However, Upon pickup, the hostess was away from her post for quite so time so I eventually just grabbed our pizzza myself as we had paid and Tipped online and i was just watching it sit there and get cold behind the station. . The crust was great and it was kinda crispy as we ordered. But the toppings, 1 mini mushroom chunk , 1/4 of a chunk of pineapple and 1 miniature cube of ham per piece. The toppings that were $3 a piece. I’ve never ever had a piece of pizza with such pathetic toppings. We ended up scrapping off half the cheese(lots of that) adding sauces and toppings from home as we felt like we were eating cheese and crust as the sauce was also non existent. This truly was a $10.00 pizza at best. We were so excited to try something up the street that seems to have a vibe, but probably the most disappointing pizza experience we have had. I rarely complain but $30 later could not be more...
Read moreLike the Atmosphere. Like the set-up dine in and out, heaters outside for those chilly nights. Hostess and waitress was very nice. The guys in the kitchen blasting music and seem to be playing around. We were the only ones there and it took 30 minutes for us to get two tiny 10' pizzas. 10' pizzas are about 6 slices and they were very small. The pizzas are paper thin, not necessarily what we were expecting so be aware of that. Really good pizza however. If you bring little ones don't expect them to have any sort of juice beverages. This seems more of like a sports bar type of atmosphere which would make sense as far as no juice beverages. Nevertheless we liked it. 3 stars because, I don't know if I would dine in again being it took 30 minutes for 2 small pizzas, even though it was just us there, no other customers. Prices don't match 2 small flat pizzas, and the cooks weren't in a hurry or could care less that we were waiting while they just joked, blasting loud music and playing around...
