Absolutely one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any restaurant. We ordered our food through the app which was extremely annoying and would not allow me to add special instructions for my food to be cooked well done as well as any other instructions.
When I arrived to pick up this order that was not even gonna be cooked to specifications anyway. Only part of the order was prepared and I had to sit and wait for over 10 minutes for the other part of my order be cooked while the rest of us sit there and continue to get cold. When I complained about this and asked if I could get a re-cook or a refund of any kind, the road waitress named “breezy“ said hell, no laughed at me and walked away! Then I asked for the order number so that I may leave a complaint regarding the situation and ask for a refund through corporate, she gives me attitude about this. The Koch, who was polite during the entire situation printed my receipt so that could have my order number. The rude waitress did not stop here. No she decided to further complicate the situation by demanding that I get up off of her table, as if I was not welcome to be there or even so much to sit at one of our tables while I waited for them to correct their mistake!! Unbelievable! When I refuse to get up from her table, she then starts cussing and yelling at me and the man that I leave the store!! Worst experience at any waffle House or any restaurant otherwise! Waffle House has been going downhill for many years and this is unacceptable from the ordering process, the cooking process to the customer service. I would definitely never return to this location and will most likely never order from another waffle...
Read moreThis particular trip to a very cherished place would turn anyone's stomach. I came into the Stone Ave location downtown Greenville. Granite, it was late but I myself just got off a 12 hour shift and waffle house has been awesome for me in the past. I came into the restaurant and wasn't greeted by anyone. I noticed only 2 employees working. (Note: to owner, managers have nothing to do with this, spring break+downtown Greenville + understaffed= well, nothing good). I figured many people are understaffed right now, they are busy, no worries. After 5 min or so I finally spoke up and sat at the bar. Again, no acknowledgment. The bar was nasty, the staff was deemed rude at this point and finally the lady behind the counter asked me if it was for here or to go. I said I would like to eat here. She then, went and took some other man's togo order (after taking the only other person at the bar order sitting 2 seats to the right of me) and she just skipped right over me with a long wait in-between orders so, i never got to order. I left and thought, there were multiple down moments that my order could have been taken. The man sitting near me put his order in 15 minutes before the guy with the togo order. Nothing good here folks. I would recommend going somewhere that the staff value the customers tipping them. The cook didn't even say a word. Very obvious he was taking the brunt of the work and he was very stressed out. I felt bad for him. Been there myself. Maybe next trip...

I will say that I personally enjoy what I do as a server & I love my job. I encourage all customers to come to waffle house. This is a great store location & very convenient to down town greenville SC & I enjoy seeing all customers come to stone av! Ask for me sweet tea! Ill be happy to serve you! As this is only one of the waffle houses I work at I invite you to 11 e stone av! I hope that your experience is a great one! HOWEVER I THINK THE STORE NEEDS NEW MGMT!
