I’ve been to 3 other locations and this by far is the WORST experience I’ve ever had! I was so excited to have some much needed me time & this really broke my spirits. I came in a gentleman greeted me after about a minute. Ok. Then he seats me ok. Then it’s like I can hear them going back in forth about who’s table I’m at. Strike 2. Then she finally comes & takes me order. Ok. Then I ask for cheese, for my grits. Ok. Then I waited & I had to ask the guy to give me some salt & tell him the bacon was too tough. He gets me some more & that is too tough as well. I waited, waited, waited & no one dared to come check on me & see if my food was ok. I asked another young lady can I get a manager. She got one for me right away. The manager was nice & he stated he was sorry about my experience. I’m in customer service & I tip well but they wasn’t getting any of my money! He gave me sausage, comp my meal, gave me a coupon and refilled my tea. I was so upset that I could barely eat. The 1st girl that was supposed to be my waitress comes back & ask if I want the check. I said no he took care of it, can I have a cup to take my tea. She said yes, anything else. I said no. Then she goes & starts to take the other peoples order as if I haven’t waited enough! I just was like F it & I just walked out! I’m just extremely disappointed in the service. I’ve NEVER felt so unnoticed by any eggs up grill and so hurt like I was today! Read moreBeen in the industry for over a decade so it truly hurts my heart to write this, but hopefully this review will be helpful. The food was great, no problems with the food! However we came in roughly around noon and the service was not the best. The dining room was not busy and as a server myself I understand that attention turns to side work and other tasks however once our food was dropped off we didn’t get a table touch for probably about 15 minutes. I knew our server might be busy, so I tried to make eye contact with the other servers that were kind of just wandering around, and was essentially ignored. I did have to get up to ask for a few things. When we finally did get a table touch the drink refill we asked for was forgotten and it was another while before our server returned, essentially not to check on us but ask us to pay. I paid and asked for a box and the refill Togo. I’m mainly just writing this review because I’ve been in this servers shoes, I’ve done five doubles in a row working open to close, worked multiple jobs and I know it’s hard and thankless. However when people take pride in their service it truly shows and it’s so much easier to make money and decent tips when that effort is given. So that’s why I’m writing this, to hopefully encourage the staff to just give like 20 percent more effort (at the very least)It will change the way the job is perceived, serving is definitely more fun when you care, and hopefully tips will improve. Wait time was unacceptable. More than half of the tables were empty and still took 30 minutes to be seated. When asked about an update, their response was “there is two groups ahead of you”. Majority of the tables were empty so we did not understand. We saw multiple members of the staff just sitting around.
We ordered our food and our party was all vegetarian, we requested multiples times that our dish be made without bacon, beef etc. We got our food and it had bacon on there, we kindly asked them to remake it and they took the food back and just took the bacon off and they brought it back. There were still pieces of bacon left in our food!! Totally unacceptable. We asked the server to remake it and that it was unacceptable for them to do that. Her response was “I don’t have control over what they do in the kitchen”
The hashbrown was cold by the time we got our food and our dishes were dirty, there was old food still stuck to the plate.
We didn’t get actual silverware for at least 5 minutes once our food arrived and we were given plastic utensils that broke when we used it.
The food was mediocre and cold. The Mac and cheese was watery.
