Fox's Pizza Den — Restaurant in Greenville

I was told 20-30 minutes for my food to be delivered. An hour had passed since I ordered and I still had no food for the kids or us. I called back in and the girl said the driver left "shortly ago" and it took another 20+ minutes for the driver to deliver our food. Since my stromboli had been sitting for how long before it was delovered and the grease soaked into the dough and the box was totally saturated with grease through to the outside. The bacon wasn't cooked completely and it was all the white fat part of the bacon instead of good meat. I am not impressed that the employee that is answering phones and taking orders hung up on me when I called to find out where our food was. On top of that, she can't tell the truth about the status of an order.

I understand that sometimes things happen that would make the delivery a little later than originally planned. But, when you are talking about 2-3x longer, there is a problem that needs addressed.

I don’t write negative reviews often, but I felt like I needed to. I cannot speak to the quality of the food because I never ordered.

I called earlier today to see what the specials were today. I was told that they had either a large 1-topping pizza for $11.99 or after 5:00pm on Sundays, they have buy one get one free pizza. I thanked them and said I would call this evening for pizza.

I called at about 6:00pm to get the buy one get one free pizza deal and was told that they don’t do that anymore, and that they only have a large one topping pizza for $11.99. Admittedly annoyed, I said I would call back after I regroup and figure out an order.

I literally called back 5 minutes later and went to order the large one topping $11.99 deal and was told that they have NO specials today, followed by - “we had a special on an XL pizza, breadsticks, and a 2 liter but it’s gone.”

Fox’s Pizza Den in Greenville is a solid spot for pizza when you’re in the area. The food was tasty the pizza had a good amount of toppings, plenty of cheese, and the crust had a nice texture. Their menu has a lot of options beyond pizza too, which makes it great if you’re with a group looking for variety.

The service was friendly and welcoming, and the order came out in a reasonable amount of time. The shop itself has that small town, casual vibe that makes it comfortable to sit down and enjoy a meal.

The only reason I didn’t go five stars is that while everything was good, it wasn’t quite at that “wow” level but it’s definitely a place I’d come back to again when I’m craving a hearty pizza. Overall, a dependable spot with good food, friendly service,...
