This was my first time visiting based off a TikTok video by influencer, HealthyishDani. Go follow her on TikTok if you’re a foodie in the Greenville area.
Dani said this was the place for Italian subs and Philly’s in Greenville. I’ve been craving a solid Philly since I moved here, so when I saw her video while looking for a place for lunch today, my immediate thought was, “Okay girl, say less!” And off to Harry’s I went.
Guys, the best way to summarize my experience is that the food, vibes, decor, customer service— EVERYTHING, was top tier!
Upon walking in, I could hear how friendly the employees working were, greeting every single customer the moment they opened the door. To say Justin is “welcoming” is a true understatement! It was evident by the way he spoke to other patrons, that they were regulars here and he treated them like family. When I was next in line, Justin introduced himself and when I told him I was a “first-timer”, he gave me a Reader’s Digest version of Harry’s. How everything is made fresh daily, the meat is imported, and he mentioned how the owner himself was from Philly (who was also there helping other customers). Everything Justin had told me held true the moment I took my first bite. The Philly? chefs kiss Hands down the BEST I’ve ever had! The hoagie roll was soft, the meat was seasoned properly and oh so delicious, the onions were cooked to perfection as well. The girl that brought me my food (I didn’t get her name) was super sweet! Before handing me my to-go bag, she said she had to go back inside because they forgot my “suckers.” She came back out and handed me Dum Dum Lollipops, because yes, this place is all about the little details! I thought that was such a thoughtful, cute gesture on the restaurant’s part to not only include a little sweet treat but to be sure every customer got one!
You can get a $15 discount on your birthday, outdoor/indoor seating, a variety of drinks to choose from and an extensive menu of tasty hoagies, salads and potato salads to choose from! Being a Florida native, I’m picky on everything food-related because of the abundance of restaurant options there, but sometimes food quality and customer service is hit or miss. Harry’s checked all my boxes and I’m pleased to say I just found my new favorite hoagie/sandwich spot in the Upstate.
Thanks Harry’s! See you...

It's Sunday, and we slept in late, so it was too late for us to get breakfast. We decided to try this newer sandwich shop about 15 minutes from our house and we were wowed!
I didn't realize it at first, but my family has enjoyed the fare from the owners at their other business Mike's Philly Cheesesteaks & Roast Pork, at Gather GVL downtown. So to learn the same culinary folks are growing and expanding was a pleasant surprise. I saw a few familiar faces there taking our order. Everybody here is so friendly and excited to help you, and I like that you can see into their kitchen and watch them make your subs.
They exclusively use meat and cheese imported from Italy, this is "da good stuff" I grew up enjoying at small delis and corner stores in New York with my big Italian/German family. Their bread is authentic, fresh baked sesame rolls from New Jersey. It doesn't get much better. I would rate their food as one of the top 5 sandwiches i've ever eaten.
I got the 12" Italian. It's got genoa salami, ham, mortadella, and capocollo on a sesame roll, with provolone, oil/vinegar and onions. When I say this was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten, I mean it. The bread was soft and not at all soggy, the toppings were freshly sliced and loaded in there. The subs are fairly priced all considered and the quality is unbeatable. Looks are deceiving though-- you could easily make two meals out of a 12" sub, so save the butcher paper and wrap up the second half to go for later!

Read moreI heard about this place 6 months ago from a co-worker. I've also seen many posts on FB about their cheesesteaks. Usually when a place is hyped up this much it falls short, but Harry’s takes all that hype and backs it up big time.
Checked it out a month ago and Justin was running the front he picked us out as first timers from the jump. He educated us on how the owners are from Philly and Jersey and how the rolls are brought in from Liscio's in Jersey and their meats are from Italy and sliced to order.
I must point out that I'm not from Philly or New Jersey nor have I ever been to either city/state. With that being said this was hands down the best cheese steak sandwich I've had in my life and I've had a bunch of them. I got it Andrew's Way which is with "onions, sweets and hots" and it was phenomenal. Had just the right amount of heat and greasy cheesey goodness.
Also tried out a 6" Italian and the quality from the bread to the meats is on another level compared to most shops.
We came back a month later and Justin remembered us. He flat out knows his customers and does such a great job. Literally had a line out the door the whole time we were there and could still take the time to come out and check on us in the dining room.
This place has a 4.9 overall rating on Google and there's a reason for this. Believe the hype, this place is legit.
Docking them a star on atmosphere only because they have little to no seating and the parking lot is atrocious. I recommend parking at the church across...
