Expensive Take-Out Disaster... TL;DR - Really expensive, largely inedible, packed by idiots, $60 garbage. You'd think a Chinese themed restaurant (because it's not really Chinese) that presents itself as an expensive alternative to traditional Chinese fare, would be consistent in dish preparation, recipes, and food presentation. They are none of those things. Lieu's is very hit-or-miss, and for the ludicrous pricing, that's not acceptable. To the kitchen staff: 1. If you can't wrap spring/shrimp-rolls, just don't try. 2. Since it's clearly your first week in the kitchen, let me give you some take out packing advice. First of all, you don't put freshly fried anything in a styrofoam container (or sauce) and expect it to be anything other than mush 5 minutes later. You sure as hell don't put it on top of cucumbers in a styrofoam container. Typically we wrap fried foods in a knapkin/paper towel, then insert them into a small waxed bag, and then perhaps put them in styrofoam to keep warm. This eliminates what we call in the business 'condensation'. Go visit a real Chinese kitchen, or just watch YouTube. 3. When you do not thicken your sauces properly, and/or just put too much of it in a container straight out of a 500 degree wok, it will continue to boil anything else you happen to put in it, like beef or broccoli. What the customer ends up with at home, is a poor excuse for tuff beef & mushy broccoli soup. 4. Soy sauce already has a high sodium content. Keep this in mind when deciding to make it the main ingredient in your dishes, because my cats wouldn't eat the Beef & Broccoli I paid $21 for today. 5. Learn to make normal pork egg rolls and put them on the menu. Please. Pretty please. Why do you not have egg rolls? 6. Weird, trendy, expensive food doesn't make it good. I'd rather have quality, consistent, reasonably priced, standard fare than poorly cooked weird any day of the week.

If I could give zero stars, I would! My family and I visited this establishment 6/14/2022 for a simple dinner. We’ve come here many times before and have never had a problem. This particular time, two of our minor guest ordered Singapore noodles from the menu. They were under the impression they would be the same as Singapore noddles they had from a different Chinese restaurant but they were not. We requested they take the dishes back and swap them out for something different, something more edible and the manager (a pregnant lady) refused and instead forced me to pay for the two dishes and was extremely rude about it. I have never experienced such poor treatment in a restaurant in my life. After being so unsatisfied, we asked that the service charge be removed and the pregnant manager said to that request “you better be glad the server is ok with this or you would be paying it” she also threatened to get the police involved and it was all because of her poor show of customer service. My family and I are due an apology and I am due a refund for the 2 plates that were not eaten. We will never visit this restaurant again…diners beware!

Me and my friends went here and we were very hungry ordered some pan fried noodles thinking we ordered something cooked like lo mein. Instead were brought some raw noodles with vegetables and meat on top. I asked how to eat it and they said to just mix it up and then eat it. Plate was full so that was very messy. Still gave it a shot but overall food was not good and made us all feel like throwing up later. We were going to pay for appetizer because we ate it all but we barely touched our main dish. Waiter made us talk to owner and he treated us with no respect. Saying we were going to pay for it even if we didn't touch it. We said wouldn't come back again and he said "please never come back". Anyway we understood there was no point to argue so paid and left. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant. There are many nicer areas to go in the area.

FOOD IS AMAZING But the owner or manager is very arrogant . Weve eaten here for years with zero problems until one night we ordered "pick up" sweet and sour chicken. When I got home we found the sweet n sour chicken had zero sauce on it. Almost like it was rinsed off or something. Not even light, just naked. When my husband called, the woman on the phone made it out like we were lying. Her words were something to the effect of " that's never happened and very unlikely " . What do you say to that when you are staring at naked chicken? Really all we wanted was acknowledgement that they messed up, an apology and perhaps even " sorry we wasted your time" but we got none of that. I started to feel as if she thought we were making it up. I told her I would being it to them and I did I drove all the way down woodruff rd traffic just to walk in and show everyone that we were not lying. The manager saw the chicken and still couldn't put the words " I am sorry" together nor would he still admit he made any type of mistake even when shown the food . Extremely awkward. He finally offered to remake the dish, Which should of been offered over the phone to begin with. Even with all that he had the audacity to ask me "what do you want from me?" Um some type of acknowledgement and respect as a customer would of sufficied?? Some basic people skills? Maybe admitteding you can be wrong sometimes? Maybe a gas card for the extra gas I spent bringing you back the food you messed up? I mean I can think of plenty of things, but you couldn't? You make GREAT food. Mistakes happen. Even after all of that , the fact you didnt reimburse the 60 dollars we spent ..is well ..not shocking but disappointing. Was I looking for a free meal? Of course not. But was wanting to spend my dinner time like this? No And we have plenty of bank statements ready to prove we have paid your restaurant plenty of times. It's just the common sense of customer service is lacking greatly here. People are pretty easy to please. Warm food and a smile go a long way.

( also after reading other bad reviews, it looks like Peter has been at it again! Insisting he is never wrong!! I feel bad the staff , they must get treated so poorly..they all looked extremely tense when I walked in as if afraid of...

Previously here for 1.5 years and after moving on I have to brag about this place.

The organization and cleanliness is out of this world, during my time here I've never stumbled upon some random mold or even seen a cockroach, the staff here takes cleanliness to another level.

Everyone here is super friendly and does their best to provide superb customer service, especially the owner, Ellen. She goes above and beyond as an owner, maintaining quality, customer service, etc. On multiple occasions she has participated in charity events such as the yearly dine out for moms. She is also without a doubt the best person I've worked for thus far, she's very down to earth and treats all of her employees like an actual person and creates a welcoming and warm environment for everyone.

I'll finally get on to the food, I know that's probably the most important thing about any resturant. Saying the food here is delicious is an understatement. There are more dishes then I can count that can't compare to any other Chinese resturant within the upstate. While I haven't tried everything on the menu I'll go ahead and list my favorites for each category if anyone's looking for a suggestion.

Appetizer - Spicy barbecue pork, the sauce is out of this world

Beef - Kung pao beef, hands down my favorite item on the menu

Chicken - Peking chicken stir fried, this was the first dish here I absolutely loved

Seafood - Spicy ginger shrimp, this is a good competitor for my favorite dish overall, at LEAST second place

Veggie - Veggie fried rice, the variety of vegetables really makes this dish take the cake

Noodle - Combo lo mein, while it's a simple choice you get a variety of meats

Cocktail - Raspberry mai tai, this was the first drink I fell in love with here, but make sure to ask for it shaken to get that foamy top!

I absolutely loved my time working here and will be sure to visit in the future thank you...
