I have loved and supported sup dogs since they were just a little room. Heck as a pirate grad, I remember it being a hot dog place.
It's a non negotiable when I'm in town visiting my daughters. Wait for a table on parents weekend? Absolutely! It's an experience.
In the 100s of times I've been I've had one mediocre experience. It's always been great food, great crushes, reasonably priced and above good service. Nothing at would make me type a review that would either be positive or negative. It's a Greenville institution.
Tonight we waited 2 hours. After a long day, we finally got sat. Roughly 30 mins after, we were acknowledged by our waitress Makenzie. We noted the table behind us sat down after us and got served first. None of us were bothered or addressed it.
All good....we enjoyed each others company. After our food we ordered another drink. We waited. She moves to the new table that was sat. Proceeds to take their orders and made their drinks. It was like da ja vu.
At this point, I flagged her down. She acted bothered that I even did that. So I ask if we had offended her. I really felt there had to be something we had done. Her response was what do you need? I replied we never got our drinks. She said oh you ordered another drink?
Some times passes. She is at the bar telling everyone that will listen whatever she's telling. She comes back with our drinks. She curtly asks my husband if we were ready to close our tab with our second order of drinks.
As he's paying, her disdain for me is visible on her face. After the second time of her rolling her eyes, all I could get out of my mouth was I didn't believe customer service was her strong suit. She might want to consider another career.
We are paid up but still have a full drink. We are casually drinking and talking. At this point, what we can only assume is the bus boy. His name was Huy? Huey? He states I need to leave the establishment.
No questions about what led me to question her about what we had done. She gave a short curt and rude response. I eventually matched her energy. I told him what happened. He eventually walked away, we finished our drink and we left.
I'm still shaking my head about the whole interaction. Maybe I should ask myself AITA but what started as curiosity became this huge fiasco. I will say the bus boy was mostly polite. But to just come to the table and demand me to leave is baffling.
I wanted to talk to a manager but I am a tired Pirate mama.
I'm now editing my review: I never called this girl the b word. I flagged her down to get her attention. I didn't snap as I cannot snap with my right finger. I hope you checked your camera to see we sat there for 25 minutes before we were approached.
I sent you an email to expound. I fully understand everyone has a bad day. I was super mindful of how tired they probably were. I would have never told her she needed to find a job that didn't involve customer service until she came to the table the last time rolling her eyes.
The response and fabrication of the story tells me pretty much all I...
Read moreI have always loved the vibe and roof top bar from the look so went in for dating with hubby. Girls were all very nice except for one and that one was the lead of the pack- not sure if she is the manager or something but she definitely needs proper training and management skills instead of simply turning things awkward and bullying customers that she personally discriminate or does not prefer. If the owner does not care, at least other customers deserved to know what potentially they will face. We and host girls happily greeted each other then was told top bar was pretty full then I said we could wait I just really loved top bar, was told there was a side bar open thus we went ahead. After getting there, a bigger table was empty- yeah understood that was for bigger party but 2 ppl took mid size tables everywhere. Anyways, seated at side bar for a 15 mins nobody came to greet or take orders for drink until we asked. Then a mid size table became available- since there were nobody filling the table after a wait, we asked if we could sit there, answered "yes" so we moved. After seated a while, here she came and was told there was a waitlist and we need to move back to side bar. After communicating and telling her that we didn’t see any ppl waiting and no waitlist available, she insisted and sent us to go down 3 floors to check by ourselves...if she was that much certain there were ppl waiting then she should lead ppl in front of us, if not certain should simply check by herself before confronting customers...given the vibe was casual and relaxed, this picking-on us was so awkward. After we went to check and came back with a yes- nobody was waiting, and regained her permission to sit, we were told the kitchen was closed due to shower (yeah for literally 10s) and threw us the bill of drinks. Food was still served around and nobody was told to leave except for us. Here we came down to be seated again, the here she came down again and told the other girls "no", then girls turned to us said "well the bar open otherwise a table 25 mins wait". While 2 tables were open and nobody waiting in line???...
Read moreWorst customer service experience in a long time! I used Dasher service to pick up my order from here. Mind you, about 10 of my coworkers including myself eat here about three times a week for lunch. As always, I ordered the funnel cake sticks. Now normally this appetizer is a tray full of sticks for 8 bucks. However, this time I received a handful of funnel cake sticks. This is where it gets really bad. I called in to inform them of the matter and that’s where the lies, insults, mis comprehension, and overall horrible customer service begins. I spent 16 minutes on the phone with a “manager” named Jacori who told me that they are pre portioned, and that 8 sticks come in a appetizer for 8 bucks. I had to keep explaining to him that we have never received a handful of sticks before. I hear him talk to the cook who says “that’s impossible “ . But Jacori said that is the right amount that I should have gotten. So was it impossible or was that the correct amount? Mind you I just ordered this same appetizer with my coworkers on Friday. So after constant back and forth with Jacori who kept insisting that he didn’t understand and was confused by my complaint, he decided to say “what do I want”? Duuuh guy, I want what any dissatisfied customer wants...for you to make it right. Then he says that I will to discus it with the owner. WOW, so are you even the manager? And why have you wasted 16 minutes of my time, of me having to constantly explain my problem to you over and over again??? He said the owner is Brett and hopefully Brett can correct this terrible experience that I had with his establishment. The food is normally good, so it would be a shame for me to tell my office that we should never order...
