The Town Common(s) is a great place for all ages and all kinds of different activities. The park section has a ton of playground equipment & many are fitted for kids with handicaps. The playground area also has a fence that goes all the way around with only one entrance/exit which I think is good for safety. There's also a lot of walking trails, a big walking bridge with places to sit, and you can walk down by the river. Can't live in a van down there tho. All jokes aside, it's a great place to go so I highly recommend. They also have a pretty clean, especially since it's public, restroom. 👍 ETA: I added some pics of some of the area off to the side of the playground, bc I wanted to show there's plenty of green spacer for adults & kids to run/walk around. Read moreThe Town Commons is a park I have enjoyed since my teens, the 4th of July Day fest has expanded tremendously. Get there real early next year 4Handicap parking, U will have to walk & sit 4 a spell somewhere, anywhere. So bring a small pop-up chair that U can get up & out of. City Police Security was heavy-duty in & around the parameters AAA+++. One thing that concerned me was that there were a lot of dogs, small children playing & babies. I have been a 🐶, 🙀,& 🐦 lover since a small child, & I'm in...
Read moreI love all the events and the direction that the park is headed with the recent addition of the play ground and restrooms. Love that it's a part of the Greenway. Very neat place for concerts and events. I do wish that better use of the space off of 1st street could be utilized. I think so much profit and interest could be made if the city allowed for restaurants and boutiques to be built along the river, off of first street. How neat would it be to have a space to eat, river front. I could totally see beautiful string lighting, screened in balconies, music, unique shops etc creating an always bustling part of town. Gosh and with all the new apartment living...
