From the second I walked in, this place radiated mediocrity, a strip mall bar charging a $10 cover, for what?
The floors are sticky, like it feels like walking in chewed bubble gum, instantly disgusting feeling, the stage area is small and awkward to crowd around, seating is nearly non existent and you're elbow to elbow trying to walk anywhere inside the building on a busy night. Past that, the bar service was absolutely T R A S H, I stood there and waited patiently while the people who'd been there before me got served, not a problem, mind you I have a $5 in my hand in clear view of the bar tender, and they continue to serve every other person that walks up while I'm waiting to get a single beer. I had to throw my hand in the air to to indicate my frustration after being blatantly ignored, just to be hit with a sour face by the bar tender and he finally got around to getting me my beer.
I'm sure if you've never left your home town, this is a great venue for you and no doubt those are the only people keeping this place alive, but I genuinely can't imagine this place is even worth driving to, to see live music, or even for a beer. I'd sooner drive an hour or more to a better venue to see a band and drink than to ever subject myself to a strip mall "music hall"...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent out to the buccaneer music hall to play some pool and drink some beer. Shoot a few games of pool before "buying the table" another guy comes in trying to "buy the table" I talk to the bartender to straighten things out he clearly states the table is mine untill I'm done, to me and the other party. After that said party had animosity towards me unsettled. I play my games not paying it any mind. More of said party's group arrives at bar and eventually it becomes a hostile environment. While I'm shooting what becomes one of my last games I near the party aiming for a shot and one of the main party's friends says in a hostile voice "you can say excuse me". Of course I did not take it well and didn't realize at first he had anything to do with said party. I look up and realize this guy is staring me down looking for a reason to start something. I of course stood my ground and had words with the guy but there was three in front of me and needless to say things didn't end well and I ended up getting kicked out. But there was no investigation in to the incident. I walk outside and eventually see where it looks like I got stabbed in the scuffle. I mention to the bouncers and nothing was taken care of. TheY just walked back in like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYāall, these rules are starting to create a horror story of racism and discrimination ā whether intentional or not. Itās becoming obvious and damaging. Youāre making certain groups of people feel unwelcome because of these so-called ārules.ā
Iām asking that someone from your higher-level leadership ā someone level-headed and with basic common sense ā review and revise these policies. Take a moment to actually check the community pages and see how people are responding.
We may live in the South, but itās 2025. Times have changed, and so should your mindset. The very cultures your rules seem to alienate are the same ones driving business, growth, and community success. Many of us are CEOs, entrepreneurs, and leaders who contribute daily to this economy.
On behalf of the Greenville, North Carolina community ā Iām asking for change. Feel free to message me directly through Google Maps so we can discuss this further. Before responding, take a good look at the images posted ā especially the bartender wearing a āRedneckā shirt with questionable wording. If thatās not meant to represent bias, it certainly gives that impression.
Letās do...
