Weird that they play country music walking into a taco restaurant. 🤷🏻♀️ The waitress was nice but brought our appetizer and then disappeared forever. We finally ordered. We were excited to try the street corn but really disappointed to discover it’s only butter and Parmesan cheese…this is NOT street corn. My Drunken Piggy taco was good for the first bite but way too wet and the habanero flavor was only in the first bite, the rest was plain as plain gets. The second taco was the Luck of the Irish, looked and tasted like sandwhich meat corn beef and no flavor- way too much thousand island. The birreh taco was mid with low flavor and the Nashville heat was not a flavorful heat or hot enough. The Cowboy taco was good for the first bite and the rest was plain and unseasoned and the Chicken coop was the same. I was really excited to go here. I didn’t expect to pay $90 to eat with my family and get a bowl of thawed frozen corn with butter and Parmesan and some plain tasting tacos with flavor only in the first bite. Listen, I’m white- but this is some seriously white people taco food, at best. You want some really amazing food go to somewhere authentic with a lot of diversity in the room. Can’t go...
Read morePoor service, so so food, and overpriced. We dined at Tipsy Taco for the first time May 19, 2022. Our server, who was clearly new to his role and deserves some lenience, was not initially attentive. He did get our drink order almost immediately but we waited about 20 minutes before he returned to take our food order. About 45 minutes in, the main course arrived and it was apparent that the order had been placed incorrectly. Our server did offer to change it out but at this point patience was wearing thin and we opted to make our own ad-hoc revisions on the spot. The food was not impressive. I had the chicken burrito which contained hard squares of chicken and had little flavor. Others at the table had similar complaints but the food was palatable. As to price, inflation has certainly impacted prices but it seems a gouge when chips and salsa (a historically free appetizer in Mexican restaurants) is $12, particularly when the main course is going to average $15 per person. Maybe it's unfair but for the same $75, the family could have had eaten at Chipotle and experienced a fast, fresh, and flavorful meal, TWICE. We won't make the same...
Read moreWent in for the first time today and man was this place awesome! Let’s just start off with how clean the restaurant is and how cool the decor is! We sat at the bar and had great service by the two bartenders! We started out with the chips and traditional salsa, the chips were light and crispy and the salsa was a good dose of spicy! We ordered the bang bang shrimp tacos, the El Grande taco ( my favorite) and the Greek taco. All of which were rich in flavor! The sauce on the bang bang tacos was delicious and the blend of flavors on the El Grande made it my favorite for sure! We finished our meal off with dessert, Churros! Sooo good but we could not eat it all! The restaurant has such a cool vibe and there were many regulars at the bar when we were there. Such cool people! Easy to talk to and definitely made us feel like part of the group! They have drink specials Mon-Friday 4-7 that you should not pass up! The Tipsy Margarita is $5 and domestic bottled beer is $2.50!! We will definitely come back! Thanks for such great food and fun times...
