Negative Stars -5 Stars Just ate at Kumo 8/14/2022 the food had a off taste about it. I thought its a new restaurant and maybe its a different seasoning they used. After finishing eating i felt sick my stomach felt heavy. I was not having problems until after i ate their food. I went to the restroom about a hour later 3 times getting sick. I went back and expressed my experience and how it made me feel bad and then got sick several times. I said i just want a refund because their food made me sick. They said we have insurance go to hospital and then bring us a report. They did not give me any information on their insurance or to give to the hospital. They said they wont give a refund and that they have insurance but not what hospital to go to or give to them after i arrive. My stomach feels awful even now such a bad experience and the food was not good at all looked nice but i dont want anyone or their family getting sick trying to eat there. Please avoid eating here at all cost. He just kind of looked at me kind of laughing when he said go to the hospital they have insurance he was smug and not caring to how bad i am feeling. Food looks good tastes not so good and i feel so bad i am still running back and forth to the restroom i dont want to get stuck with a huge hospital bill and then they say they are not paying for it after making me sick. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST. There is much better asian restaurants in the greenwood area They are smug and rude Update (9/2/22): I provided Kumo the information medical information from IU Health they requested and they have not contacted me 1 time. They are not a good restaurant and dont take responsibility for make thier customers sick.

The restaurant is conveniently located in a strip mall next to the cheesecake factory, etc. I didnt do the hibachi as I was by myself but the restaurant was very clean, had tons of seating and very friendly wait staff. My ONLY complaint about the restaurant is this. I had just sat down and hadn't had a chance to look at the menu when the waiter asked if I was to order, then asked again just 3-5 short minutes later (still wasn't ready). About 5-10 minutes later, a waitress came and took my order. The order came out very quick!!!! The steak and shrimp combo dinner was fantastic, the soup was good but the salad wasn't good, didn't care for the dressing. I also had the Volcano sushi roll which was a tad spicy for me but I don't do spicy foods. Overall, the wait staff stepped it up after the initial problem and the rest of the meal was fantastic. Would definitely bring my wife here if I'm back in the area.

The unique variety of flavors and combinations for the specialty sushi rolls — that’s why we come to Kumo. And the rest of perfectly average. The sushi menu includes both cooked and raw fare, ranging from plain sashimi and basic rolls to ones that are heavily sauces and fried. I often go for the “spicy” rolls, which typically aren’t that spicy but have a little kick that compliments the other flavors. The sashimi selection and quality are also good relative to the price. If you’re feeling adventurous, the chef’s choice let’s you try a little bit of everything. The hibachi side of the restaurant is usually quite busy, and there always seems to be at least one group celebrating a birthday, which means the restaurant is often noisy. The hibachi show is entertaining the first time, but the food is basic and bland, so once was enough for me.

We had such a great time at KUMO. We’re definitely be coming back for warm. Our cook was amazing and the whole experience was just downright awesome. Love the food next time I think we’re gonna try the chicken and steak for two lol
