We came here for our anniversary dinner and were seated right away. It was not busy when we came so it was surprising we were forgotten about for what seemed like 15 minutes. Our waitress actually came by and took our drink order (we only asked for water) and brought a carafe of water and two very small glasses, no ice. That was the only water we got during our time there. She asked if we needed a few minutes to decide our food order and I said please. It was easily 20 more minutes when she came back and admitted she forgot about us and said sheepishly she would tell her manager so we could have our meals comped. My husband felt bad for her and said you don't have to do that... so, she didn't. It wasn't much longer for our food to arrive, which we didn't expect considering how long it had been up to that point. Then, we were once again forgotten about and we didn't see her again until I asked for a to-go box and got our bill. I gave her my card to pay and she brought back the receipt with the tip and total lines marked with an x. The whole visit was really odd. We didn't understand why we were continually forgotten about after she admitted to forgetting about us. She wasn't serving that many tables so it was strange.
The music was so loud my husband left with a migraine. The aesthetics were nice, the menu font is not easy to read, but our service...
Read moreOur first visit wasn’t as good as we hoped, but we’ll be back after they’ve had a chance to work out some new-opening glitches and consider some feedback. We really like the one on the northside so were excited to hear they were opening one on the southside. The music was way too loud…it’s a restaurant, not a nightclub. Audible is great, but we had to shout around the table and struggled to hear each other the entire visit, plus had to hear others shouting around us at their tables as well. Even the waitstaff had a lot of “WHAT?” back and forth with us. The food without sauces was a bit bland so could use some seasoning. The sauces were good, though we were surprised when they said they don’t have a salsa verde (given the name of the restaurant, that seemed odd). I requested a different filling for the enchilada, but I was told no, but they said it was offered in a burrito if I wanted to do that. So I said yes, but was surprised when it showed up with french fries, ha! Not what I expected at all, but they were good and so was the burrito. Again, some things to work out, but we’ll definitely try it again in a...
Read moreI being couple of times to Verde on Iron works. I was exited that they were opening one in greenwood. The place is definitely beautiful, food pretty good, Our server was great as well. Cons: My wife could not order her second drink 20mins before closed their closing time, because the bartenders didn't want to make any more drinks. We could order dessert either because the kitchen was closing down as well. They turned on the lights 5 mins before their website closing time. Well my family and I went to the restroom before heading out, to our surprise servers where already mopping the floors while they were a lot of people in the restaurant. This is not an ok behavior for a pretty nice restaurant, Maybe for a Tex-mex restaurant may be ok, you get what you pay for right!!!. The manager didn't seem to care much as she was just seating at the bar. I don't think she understands that if someone falls down on a wet floor in her restaurant, there are going to be...
