Update from my previous post**
I was able to establish that the employee who mistreated us was not an owner. I found the owners and spoke to them both. They were very quick to respond to my messages and have been very apologetic and kind. They are rectifying the situation and making sure that we get the items we picked out. I really couldn’t have asked for a better response from the owners. You can tell that they truly care and that our experience today is not one that they condone. Honestly, I’m so relieved that the owners care as my daughter is very sensitive and thought that the way she looked was why we were denied service. This taught her such a valuable lesson in a world that is not always so kind. It showed her how to properly handle an uncomfortable situation and it showed her that not all people are bad. Thank you Jacqueline and Chuck!
Just went to Indy’s Finest Vintage Clothing with my daughter. We had three things picked up and was going through the stickers. Out of nowhere, the man behind the counter, took all of our stuff to the dressing room and refused to sell us anything. He said we weren’t being sold anything from him today. We thought he was joking. I asked him 3 times if he was kidding. I asked what we did to offend him and he said once we figure it out maybe it will teach my daughter a lesson. Absolutely insane. Rude and almost made my daughter cry. I have never been treated that way and we are not rude people at all. I’m still completely baffled but they will never get a...
Read moreStopped in to try to find some decent hats, as I collect them. Found a cool Black Mamba Society hat- 450$ !!...they go for 80- 200$ max! That hat can stay vintage for them along with all the other over priced stuff they have. They do have a lot to choose from, but it's only because no one wants to buy used clothing at new clothing prices. Naptown thrift cant keep inventory because it's reasonably priced. Thats my go to.
Edit post " Owner" response
Consigned or not- thats nearly double the price of that hat. Is it worth that much? Yes. It sold for 560$ in 2023. But what I found did not cost me anywhere near 450$. And its in beautiful condition. Hence, why a " Vintage store" has the cushion to price things at certain price points because worth is volatile. Doesnt make okay to mark up items that are hard to find when clearly, they can be found AT A LOWER price. And Just because Naptown Thrift has " thrift" in the name doesn't mean they dont have " Vintage" items. They advertise as a vintage store. Just because you have " finest" in the name doesn't make it okay to mark up items. You're selling name brand stuff at new name brand prices. Thats pretty...
Read moreI had a horrible experience here on my 21st birthday. I mistakenly went into the dressing rooms when they were closed because I saw other customers exiting them and did not have my glasses on me to see the sign. A young girl employee came back and scolded us to leave and that we weren’t allowed in them to which we apologized and she kept being extremely rude about it. When I got to the counter to buy the item I had- I told the girl and the guy at the counter that it was my 21st birthday and I felt inclined to get the skirt I tried on because the brand name was 21 and they both glared at me and didn’t say a word. They did apply a little discount for my birthday but gave me dirty looks that made me feel very uncomfortable. I spent the rest of my birthday very upset about the situation and still...
