We normally go to Osaka for Hibachi, but they were closed from Christmas to New Years. We were out running errands, and we decided to give Hibachi Cafe a try. When you walk in, there is a counter where you place your order. It isn’t a server style setup. You pay for your items, and they are brought out to your table.

I ordered the shrimp tempura roll, and my husband got the Rock n Roll to start. I usually get my sushi rolls made with soy paper, but they don’t offer that here. We both really loved our rolls. Usually, the Shrimp Tempura Roll doesn’t come with sauce on it. My husband is a Type 1 Diabetic so had that of been his roll we would’ve had to send it back with all that sugar. Not sure why this came with sauce. I always get mine on the side. We ended up taking our hibachi to go because we loved our rolls so much we finished them and were full.

We both got Chicken and Shrimp Hibachi. The hibachi was okay. One of the things I’ve struggled with moving to SC, is how flavorless the fried rice is. The rice was lacking in flavor, and the rest was okay.

I can’t say I would go back for hibachi, but we really loved the rolls. The girl at the counter was super sweet.

To the review below who said they feel betrayed their California Roll didn’t have cream cheese…. Um they never do LOL! Our family eats them all the time, and I am the only one who eats cream cheese...

Awful! First time trying this place and it was a horrible experience. Lo mein was bland and egg rolls had no pork in them. but to top it off, I called up there and asked if broccoli, snap peas, and carrots came in the house special lo mein. The girl who answered the phone said she had to ask. She came back to me and said yes it does so I ordered it expecting the vegetables. Pick it up and bring it home and it has none of the vegetables I asked for. Called back up there and spoke with the manager and she said I could bring it back and get a refund. What??? I'm not going to leave my wife and drive all h the way back up there, order something else, and have to wait while my wife was eating her food. I tried to explain to her the inconvenience this is causing me and the manager didn't care. She said she could give me $2 off my next visit. Are you kidding me?!?! Any other self respecting place would've been more than happy to keep a customer. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!! STAY AWAY!! Food sucks and the manager/owner...

I am laughing at some of these reviews because I go there often and have never had bad food or a bad experience. The food is consistently amazing, and there has never been one time where I was dissatisfied. The service is always top notch even when they are busy. The rice is never ā€œmushyā€, the chicken is never ā€œquestionableā€ (which I get just about every time I am there), and the food is never ā€œgross.ā€ The vegetables are always cooked to perfection (even though I am not the biggest vegetable eater), and the prices are more than reasonable. I can get a meal for less than $10 and be completely full. I am also super picky about food, so that tells you everything. If you want the best hibachi ever go here. I’ve turned many people into loving this place, some willing to travel more than an hour to have their food. I was extremely happy when I moved from Greenville to Greer because I only had to drive a few minutes to eat here. Hibachi Cafe deserves 10 stars, but since I can only give it five I guess...

Came here to treat myself after work. Good choice! (I think I ordered too much though for one person haha.) I ordered one Dragon Roll (8 piece sushi), one Rainbow Roll (another 8 piece sushi), and ended the order with a Teriyaki Steak with fried rice. I came at an awkward but peaceful time to order, there was barely anyone here (mostly people just ordering To-Go or picking up their order) but the tranquility of the music that plays was really nice and the seating is actually fantastic for such a small venue. Staff who are front of house were very friendly and straightforward when you order. Definitely coming back again for my sushi cravings.

I have been getting takeout (and also sometimes dining in) this restaurant for several years since I've moved here to Greer. The food has never disappointed me once, I usually opt for chicken and steak hibachi with white rice, or a non-spicy sesame chicken. Everything is made really well, is served hot and fresh, with very affordable prices. The egg drop soup is great, too for cold and rainy days when you want to just get cozy.
