Upon me completing my CURBSIDE Pickup order on IHOP's website, the original time changed once I completed the order (not a problem). The final pick-up time was 11:28am. I parked my car at 11:30am. I received an email confirming the order and pickup time, along with instructions. The instructions stated to park in a designated curbside spot (I did), in bold print - call the restaurant to notify them of your arrival (I made mutiple attempts, automated message states "sorry, the number you called was busy"), and wait in your vehicle (I did). A server will bring out your order (never happened). After waiting 30 mins in the rain, I walked inside with my 1 year old (which was the reason why I place a curbside side order so I wouldn't have to get him out of the car). The lobby was full, there was no social distancing observed at all. The host asked for my name, which I gave, and checked the name on the order that was on the shelf behind him. He then stated that my order was not ready. I asked him if they were still offering curbside. He stated that they were but they are busy. I walked back to my car. Another 30 minutes elapsed. I attempted to call back inside, the line was still busy. Then, the same host came to my car (without the food) and asked for my name again. I gave him my name again and he stated "oh they're getting it ready". I then told him that I would prefer a refund. He then stated it should be ready. I again stated that I wanted a refund because I had been waiting over an hour. He started walking away then turned around and stated you have to come inside and speak to my manager for a refund because I don't have those capabilities. I walked back inside (with my 1 year old), and when I got to the counter, the same host stated "here's your food right here" (pointing to what appeared, based on how the items were arranged in the bag, to be the same order that he checked thirty minutes earlier as it was also in the same spot on the shelf.) I again told him that I wanted a refund and he began talking to a lady who walked up next to him. The women then started walking away and he yelled to her "here she is right here". The woman stopped and told me she was going to get my refund. I said okay. She walked to the back and was gone approximately 3 - 4 minutes as 3 other curbside guests came inside to check on the orders with the host that assisted me earlier while she was gone. The woman came back with two pieces of paper and advised that this shows where the money was refunded to my card. I thanked her and left.
This review should be zero stars, but you have to choose at least one in order to post.
At no time did the woman identify herself or position nor did anyone ever apologize, which would go a long way. I understand and I am sympathetic to the times that we are living in today. However; I placed a order with this restaurant primarily because of the curbside pickup option. If you all are unable to offer this service, you should not offer it. Especially if you are making your guests contradict the policies you all have in place (To comply with safety measures surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), our restaurants are currently unavailable for pickup. To accommodate your IHOP carryout orders, we have enabled curbside.) You all should think of your guests and maybe not offer curbside during certain time periods or...
Read moreBy far the worst iHop I've ever been to. It's like a high school drama/gentleman's club with the food of a bowling alley bar. Save yourself, drive to ANY other iHop. I have only been to this location a hand full of times since they opened a couple of years ago. Everytime it was awful. I refuse to give it anymore chances, it seems they have no clue how to run a restaurant. My first visit was on my anniversary. Not only did we spend over an hour waiting for our food but our waitress flirted with my husband and completely ignored me. I was very pregnant and huge so I wanted to stay calm but when I asked for a refill and she rolled her eyes and scoffed at me I decided it was time to speak with the manager. He was a very proud looking man who laughed in my face when I expressed my dissatisfaction with his employee. It was over a year before I returned with my sister and three young children. Once again, we waited for over an hour before our order made it to the table. The kids were so antsy and the restraunt was half empty. Our waitress had no interest in us and preferred to sit with two other waitresses socializing. They laughed hard and loud talking about whatever but their additude changed to irritation as we watched several customers call over to their waitresses for refills and checks. A few months after that I very reluctantly returned for my 3rd and last visit to this location. My husband wanted to take our close family to a nice dinner and this iHop was closest to where we were shopping. Well this visit was the longest wait yet. Two and a half hours at our table waiting for 4 plates. Our waitress this visit was very kind and all the waitresses were apologetic for our wait. One waitress even brought a small snack to tide over the small child we had with us. When the food finally arrived, the child's pancake was almost black it was so burnt and no it wasn't the chocolate happy face, it was a buttermilk pancake. It was horrible so we shared our food with the baby. The rest of the food was hit and miss on temperature so it was clear some had sat in the back for a while. The icing on the cake was the loud, rude girl sitting beside us. She knew all the employees and the employees frequently sat with her to talk. Which made her more dramatic. Turns out she was an employees sister and frequently visits the store. She never orders food but feels it is okay to cry histerically and throw her car keys in fits of drama. She was there before, during and after we left. Last detail about this visit, it was our single booth and 4 other tables of customers in the whole place, what took the cook so long that everyone there had to wait so extremely long, I can't say but I know they will never see my face...
Read moreWe’ve eaten here twice now. The first time, service was extremely slow. But my super picky son loves ihop food so we gave it another go. As a parents with small children know, there’s a brief and beautiful window of time when the childrens’ hunger wins out over their need to bounce around like rabid goblins who’ve never seen the inside of a restaurant before. I know it’s only IHOP, but today I paid $40 for the worst service we have ever experienced. Seriously, I could have made some eggs and pancakes at home and avoided the mess of making kids behave as they sit and wait and wait as their food comes out late and then grows cold as they wait for the other parts of their meal to eat with that food (condiments). It’s cool, patience is a good thing to learn but to totally screw up in almost every respect (no food for some, half of the food for others, making us ask for drink refills and repeatedly for condiments) and then to not even apologize and instead blame the kitchen? The food was totally delicious, btw...they clearly know how to cook back there. This was a communication issue and the manager doesn’t seem very adept at training servers or at customer service. Blaming the dinner rush ( maybe 4 or 5 tables) for ridiculously bad service just isn’t how you do it....not if you want people to come back. I’ll drive 10 minutes to another iHOP if it means better service and a cleaner restaurant. The carpet is disgusting. Like...almost appetite killing disgusting. When the front of the house is that dirty, it’s a little scary to think about what the back of the house probably looks like. My six year old’s summation, “Wow. That food was so good it almost made it worth it.” Almost, indeed. We will check out the other ihop on Wade Hampton next time. Might as well get used to the drive, this one will be...
