I went to this establishment with my family a few days ago and the experience was deplorable. We usually go to Bruster's but decided to go to DQ as it was closer and we have not been here in a while. We went through the drive-thru and placed a couple of orders for blizzards. Upon reaching the window, the first Blizzard that they gave us was very watery and the second one had items in it that was not requested. Due to this, my father and I decided to go inside to insure that they would make our orders correctly. When we went inside, my father asked to speak with the manager in order to inform him of our dilemma and to get our products made right. As soon as the manager came to the front and listened to what my dad had to say, the first words that came out of his mouth was "If you have a problem then don't come back here and order anything" he then went on to say that "We do this all the time and ask for money back, and if we have a problem why do we come here?" I was appalled by his statements, and did not fully understand because we do not frequent that establishment. upon hearing the rude remarks from the MANAGER, my dad asked for a refund and gave all of the products back. The manager then went on to boast that he knew that we were going to do that, and told us that the next time we came back he would file harassment charges and call the cops!!! I could not believe this!! Also, as we were leaving i noticed that he came to the front windows in order to ensure that we got into our cars and left. We then went to Bruster's and had a much more pleasant and enjoyable experience.I felt humiliated and discriminated upon, as the manager was obviously basing our visit off of his experience with someone else. Read moreDairy Queen is running a special for a $0.85 blizzard after at least a $1.00 purchase but must be through the app. So I opened the app and right there it tells of the special and below it says order now. So I selected order now but there is nothing showing the special. I went ahead and placed the app order figuring it would be sorted out when we went to pick up the order. Wow! Was I wrong! The drive thru young lady said she couldn’t help me so I told her to take the blizzards back and credit my cc. She said she couldn’t do that but did I want to talk to the manager which I said yes, thank you. He came to the window and said he couldn’t talk to me at the window because other customers drive thru orders would get cold, never mind our blizzards which we have in hand are melting so he told me to come inside, which I did. He was not interested with us getting a credit and initially told me there was nothing he could due, so I told him this will be the last time we come here, and he responded that he & his store have nothing to do with app specials. To make a long story short, I had to reorder an app order and he did show me the correct way to do it, then he said he’s going to his office to do a credit. Mind you all this time my wife is outside in the car with our blizzards. After several minutes he came back with what he says is the credit. I thanked him and said I’m going to the car so we could now drink our blizzards. The menu shows whipped cream as one of the toppings that it comes with as well has an option to remove the whipped cream if not wanted. I have ordered these for years and always get whipped cream on them. The first time door dashing one from this specific dairy queen, they put whipped cream on it, and it was amazing. The next couple of times, it wasn't on there. I tried calling the store, and no one answered. The next time I ordered one, I spoke with my dd driver to make sure it was on there. The worker told them it was, and when I opened it, it did not have whipped cream. This time, when I placed the order, I got the store to answer. The girl on the phone said she couldn't put whipped cream on dd orders. I requested she do it anyway. She put me on hold and said she called the manager to ask if she could and said the manager said that she could not do what I was asking and I only got the advertised whipped cream if I came to the store myself. This is extremely bad business. I should get a discount on my item if I can't get all of the ingredients that is supposed to come with it. It would be different if I wouldn't have received it one time with the whipped cream, and it was completely perfect. So, the fact that she says they can't because the whipped cream melts is not true.
