Came here on my 30 minute lunch break. I enter and get greeted by nobody—then walk up to the counter and stood there while two Hispanic females chatted away (mind you, I am on a 30 minute lunch)—and I was the only customer inside the restaurant so I don’t understand why they felt the need to waste my time. After getting her attention, I was able to order and she quickly made my food and it literally sat in the hot case waiting to get bagged.
After making my food - the woman went back to chatting with her colleagues so I walk up to the counter again hoping she would hand me my food—I was tempted to walk up to the hot case and grab my food because I needed to get back to work. After standing there for a while I hollered at a worker and told them I needed to get back to work, can you please give me my food order or I’ll just take it since there’s five of y’all working but have no sense of urgency for others.
It’s called fast food for a reason. I’m not trying to spend my whole lunch break waiting on a small order. I don’t understand why fast food workers are so incompetent but feel like they deserve a higher wage when they clearly can’t even do their job correctly.
All the fast food restaurants near 181st & Halsey are red flags. Hispanic people are one of the hardest working people’s on planet earth—but here in Gresham, Oregon—they’re...
Read moreRestaurant is very clean and nice. Service was not good at all. I placed an order for pickup and they took forever to get to me. No one could find my order so I waited for about 15 minutes which sucks because they always advertise that ordering online is to skip the line. Turns out that the bag that had been sitting the whole time since I arrived was mine so I had stale food. Had a bad experience last time I was here, only came here cause it's the closest carls Jr to me but now I know for next time I'll just stick to the other locations because I've had this issue before. I don't blame the employees, I blame the system that's given to them cause I see the stuff at the other locations and everything is more updated. This location is in a dead zone so cell service doesn't work and the wifi doesn't have internet connection either. Whomever is in charge of that is making the job more difficult for the employees and considering every other location I've been to (wood village and gresham) don't have that issue, it really should be updated and fixed because theyre making it hardernon the employees. I think the employees are being treated poorly and it's no surprise that there's poor service in response. Please take better care of your employees, it's...
Read moreI stopped by on a trip from Portland to Washington. I wish I could say my experience was better. I will start off by saying the burger I ordered was pretty good (The famous star). I've had Carl's Jr before and thus burger hit how it's supposed to.
I also tried the new "hand battered chicken" with fries. I don't know what happened, but the fries and chicken breading were kind of just soaked and tasted like oil. The fries seemed kind of under done too, the chicken seemed fine although it was a little dry. I think maybe they were either frying too many things at once or the fryer was too cool or broken. The chicken sandwich kind of reminded me of Popeyes chicken sandwich in flavor but not quite there. Not much flavor in the breading, and the breading wasn't crispy at all (as I mentioned it was kind of just drenched in oil.
I will say the staff there was super nice and it was decent customer service :)
Even with that I probably won't stop by this Carl's Jr again. Next time I make the trip, there's like 5 others on the route.(this was a drive...
