I usually give this place a BIG 5 stars, And I’ve come to know cold stone creamery when I lived in San Diego- so I’ve had many many cold stone Ice cream experiences. Yesterday, was a day... that it was not ok, and I’ve been observing these experiences- especially as a customer, I’m going to start off with- the line yesterday, Yesterday there was a long line- screaming children and I felt the tension, But yet there was only 2 people at the time working actually on the ice cream and those same 2 people were only doing the pick ups and deliveries, the cashier woman was only by the cashier- they NEED to add more people before people stop wanting, enjoying coming here. I saw they were definitely struggling. Also where they put the line, It’s way to tight to walk in and out- they need to remove those tables and chairs before someone literally gets COVID 19, OSHA needs to be on top of this, the walkway- you can’t walk across without having to be in very close contact with many other people, you have to walk by many people towards the door- in a very tight space. They should also have curb pick up if they don’t have enough space inside especially for the online pick ups, I was ALSO standing in line, decided to go on my phone to place the order because the line was long- my pick up time was going to be in 14 min- thought that was a long time but I decided to do it anyways just in case, they were still not done with the order- they were though choosing pick ups over customers and little kids were beginning to scream & cry which I think their parents were getting tired and sick of it all. Need more employees. I’m actually worried about my health now. Not a joke. And I ordered 3 ice creams- the BOGO, buy one get 1- plus a everybody’s pint, They did the 2 correctly but the everybody’s pint/tub, did not come out CORRECTLY- it was supposed to be cookie doughn’t you want some with peanut butter cups, they only gave me cookie dough and brownie- definitely didn’t order that. I don’t even like brownies, I wanted cookie dough and peanut...
Read moreI realize covid is a real things and I appreciate effort towards keeping employees safe so that I can get ice-cream. That said, here is my experience and observations from my trip this afternoon.
Started with no samples. Fine. I respect it. So I got what I get all 3 to 5 times a year i go to coldstone (play it safe). The sizes of my wife's and mine were completely different. My love it was a ball of ice cream that didn't go over the top of the bowl. I didnt think twice until my wife's love it was set on the counter and the ice cream was comfortably double the size of mine, overflowing the bowl. Still... not too worried, I could use a reduced portion.
I pay and i am handed a pen to sign the receipt... now here is a covid rub. I respect the effort as previously stated, but we cannot come up with a solution to hand out samples, but there is a sign requesting people use cards for payment because of the national coin shortage, and the person putting the icecream together is handing the same pen out to everyone? All the procedures and precautions in the world mean nothing of you if you are using the same pen.
As we are walking out to the car to enjoy the ice cream, I noticed a hair in the ice cream. Sweet. I pick it out and continue on (don't judge). 5 minutes later, we are sitting in the car and my wife finds a big long hair she pulls out of her ice cream.
Neither of our ice creams were mixed well. This is what you do, its your thing. If I just wanted ice cream I could have gone to DQ, but I wanted stuff mixed in. Instead I got a lot of chocolate ice cream with a handful of bites where I got to enjoy kit kat. So thats a bummer. But still not the end of the world.
Pretty underwhelming experience. Ill assume this is because the recent reopening and kinda getting rolling again. This is why we didn't come in yelling about our concerns... it was still bad enough, i feel its worth a manager or owner sees...
Read moreSeriously disappointing experience. I tried to take my kids out to uplift the mood in the house since my wife has been having cancer complications bringing the mood down in the house. The younger Asian girl who helped us seemed absolutely disgusted to be there. Barely wanted to help us, asked all 5 of us if we were done after ordering 1 ice cream? After we actually ordered I asked for lids which she rolled her eyes to and said sure. After finally finishing the ice cream order which took an awful long time she tried to ring me up all for bigger sizes than I got. Correcting her was also an issue. When she gave the kids she set them on the counter closest to her and told me to have a good day. Weird you’d want a customer reaching by the register but whatever. After putting in the lids ice cream went everywhere. No help offer, no napkins around even when I stated there was none. I noticed the ice creams looked incorrect. She assured me they were correct. When we got home 3/5 ice creams were wrong. The only right ones were the plain ones! Honestly ridiculous for $40 in ice cream. If you don’t like helping people find a new job! No one’s forcing you to be there. As a small business owner, that is NOT the employee I would want representing my brand or company. Won’t be visiting this location anytime soon! For the price might as well just travel to...
