I was a regular at Black Rock Coffee, but recently, Iāve had to switch back to Starbucks. The quality of drinks at the Gresham locationhas significantly declined over the past three months. Iāve witnessed baristas using water as space fillers in drinks. If your drinks seem watered down, thatās because they probably are. This makes me feel like Black Rock is being shadyāif I wanted watered-down drinks, Iād make them at home. Customer service has also taken a serious dive. This morning, around 6 AM, I pulled up to the speaker and wasnāt greeted. I had to drive around the building three times and watch other cars pull up to the window before I realized they were actually open during business hours. When I finally got my drink, it wasnāt even made the way I ordered it, despite paying extra. Itās frustrating that I canāt discuss this experience with anyone unless I return to the store. Not everyone has the time or ability to go back just to have a drink fixed or Discuss the situation at handand honestly, itās not great for business to force customers to do that. Iāve also noticed that my drinks from the old rewards system are missing, with no explanationāpossibly expired without any notice. My trust in Black Rock has eroded, and it feels like the fox is guarding the henhouse at this point. After just reading some of the reviews, it seems kind of pointless to even put this review, theyāre just sending out cute little automated responses not fixing their problems. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am really bummed to be writing this review because I love Black Rock and have been a loyal customer for a really long time. Today's service was awful! There were 2 baristas when I went through the drive thru. When I pulled up to the window, they were talking to each other about someone. They looked at me and didn't acknowledge me or have any greeting and kept grumpily talking about another person. I sat there awkwardly as they kept ignoring me. It took quite a while for them to get my payment and change. I got my coffee and then was given a cold scone. When I pulled away I noticed it was lemon and I asked for blueberry. I pulled into a parking spot and ran inside to swap it. The baristas attitude was totally off-putting and rude. The same attitude as when I went thru the drive thru. She went to grab a blueberry scone and then dropped it (literally dropped it) onto the counter for me. Usually Black Rock is so good about warming up their scones, apologizing, being friendly etc. The 2 people working this morning were so rude! I know people can have off days and maybe it's just a bad day but if I wasn't a loyal customer to Black Rock, I would never go back based on today's visit. Thankfully I do love their drinks and today's behavior was out of character. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went through the drive thru today and was instantly met with attitude and impatience from Brianna. I was told she is new to this store, but that does not excuse how I was treated. I attempted to ask her a simple question about the Fatherās Day special on the app that said āfree 16 oz drink with any purchaseā I wanted to clarify before ordering that āany purchaseā meant that I could buy a pastry and receive a free 16 oz drink. Before I could even get my question out she spoke over me and said āitās only a free small drinkā I tried to clarify and say I was asking if it was possible to buy a pasty as my āany purchaseā and I couldnāt even get those words out before she rudely interrupted me and repeated about 6 times that it was āonly a free small drink and the pastry was regular priceā she was not listening to anything I was saying and was laughing on the other side of the microphone after I went silent because she was so disrespectful.
