Dragon Palace — Restaurant in Gresham

I will leave Zero Stars But unfortunately, I don’t get that option. These will be my Third Chance That I, Give to This restaurant, I Wanted to give them another chance to see if they make it right for me this time, but unfortunately, today was my last chance here at this place. I will not be Going Back. There has been two different occasions where my first experience, the lady insisted me for a tip. I was like well, that’s odd. But OK Whatever . the second time I went there. I Had a soup and some Spring rolls. When the lady gave me the ticket. It was over $65. I explained to her. She was giving me the wrong ticket. Then she did realize she gave another couple my ticket, and then she wanted me to pay The $65 dollars?🤦🏽‍♀️ and I explained to her. I’m not paying this. This is not my ticket Then, after she realized she made a mistake after I pay my ticket. She wanted me to give her a tip. ? I said no. Then today I place an order, Fifteen Minutes Before my Lunch, which Was Eleven Forty Five A.M. I call over the phone and place my order. I told the lady I will be dining in. I will be there at 12 P.M. I got there. Waited for like five minutes until a guy, Saw me and came over and asked me and seated me. Then this waitress comes over and says are you ready to order? I explained to her I ordered over the phone, and then they took another five minutes to find out what was going on. ? Finally, the lady who took my order, came up with a bag and said to go order. I said no. I call on the phone and place my order to dine inn for my lunch.? She gave me an attitude for no reason and said you cannot call and place order to dine inn And I said well, When I call over the phone to place my order, you never told me that, or you never explain that to me. Then she came back and said the same thing over. You cannot place order over the phone and dine inn with an attitude? and I just got up and left because I’m done with this place. I’m sorry, but this is not acceptable to me, i wasted almost 30 mins. Of my lunch time for Nothing. 😡 and she was giving me a really bad attitude for no reason. So this was my last time. I will never go back...

Updated review as of 4/2023- We have since returned and although the sushi train is still closed and the bar isn't fully open yet, they have added a large, creative cocktail menu. We did not try any however. Food was a little better- not by much. Sushi was still warm. Egg flour soup still bland. Service is still subpar. Had to ask multiple times for my drink, a refill and then other small things.

I visited once when they first opened and the experience was pleasant. Nothing spectacular but good enough to consistently order them through Uber eats during the pandemic. Sushi is always delicious and we love their egg flour soup…

However, tonight missed the mark. We went in person as we knew they’ve been open for a while for dine in again. We went specifically for the sushi conveyor belt. When we got there; we were told they hadn’t set it up yet. Okay, fine. We sat down in the restaurant. Our server asked for a drink order, I asked for an alcoholic menu since they have a full bar. She said they didn’t have their liquor license yet..? Huh? When we came before, the bar was wide open. Her use of the word “yet” was what struck me as odd. It was almost like she was talking about a restaurant that just opened, rather than one that’s been there for a while as they have.

We got the egg flour soup, it was okay. Not as good as usual. We also got two orders of California rolls. They were warm. Warm sushi. Enough said.

Service wasn’t fantastic. Our server spent 10-15 minutes just chatting with another table while we sat there waiting.

Overall not a great experience and I’m praying I don’t puke up warm crab...

Twas a stormy winters eve the night was raging and my soul was yearning. When the fragrance of majestic fried rice was singing though the air. Though this spiritual quandering my eyes did search for a palace where the aroma could be eminating from. When I looked far beyond the street named Cleveland my eyes were amazed to see the beauty of the neon dragon palace. As my sight peaked over the hill my eyes partook of the glowing refuge. At this moment I had for an ausrity even until confirmation to take my journey there. After entering and being greeted as I was walking over a bridge that seemed to be leading to a paradical fried rice utopia. The decore so exquizet it did cause my eyes to swell with tears. As my guide took me to my luscious and royal booth a prince came filled our chalices with what could only be described as holy water from the fountain of youth. Just as we thought our mortal body's could not possibly handle anymore pure pleasure, a plate of gold was placed before me. As I partook of this treasure that Joan placed before me my mortal body couldn't handle the joy and I lost consienceness for a moment. My traveling companion knowing what to do scooped a handful of the steaming fried rice and trusted it down my throat. Upon contact my body imidatly arose speratically and determined. At the conclusion of the most gratifying meal i have personally ever consumed I then knew I had to share this joy with others.
