Don Pedro — Restaurant in Gresham

They messed up my order. when I ordered and how I order it every time through drive through with no problem.. But this time I went into the restaurant on a Saturday morning which was crazy busy. Anyways like I said I orderes how i normally would through drive through not knowing that the birria soup also comes in a plate form with rice and beans. So I ordered an order of birria, mind you not a birria plate. She took my money and gave me a number when they called my number 30min later I saw it wasnt in the normal Styrofoam cup but plate... I told the lady that wasnt what I ordered and instead of even talking to me about it she says yes it is and walks away... Again I said no this isn't what I paid for and I'm saying this in a claim voice but when not only the 2 cashiers 1 waitress but also the manager told me that yes that what I ordwred and ignored me while I stood there at this point my voice getting louder because of the respect that they gave a loyal costumer that buys the Soup birria once e a week.... I wasnt going to simply just walk away or buy another birria. I felt like because they THOUGHT I didnt speak spanish they could just ignore me and play no attention. Boy where they wrong. After spending 15min arguing with all 4 ladies the COOK YES.... COOK. Came out and asked me what was wrong I told him and he says ok no problem ill get it for you. Wow was that so hard. I left the bag the wrong food was I. On the counter but after seeing them not pick it up and not wanting someone else grabing it on accident I grabed it and sat down with it with the intent of giving it to them when I got what a ordered. I stead one of the girls rudely yells give me the food pointing at the bag. So I gave it to her and she ripped it out of my hand. Then when she call me up to get what I ordered she sayz next time be more specific I once more tell her thats how I order it every time when I go through the drive through... And she says oh u order through drive through? Why should that matter??? The ladies up front should be told that it better to replace a $12 order and have a happy loyal costumer that return and spends more then that $12 over a mad costumer that they ran off over $12 that will never return. Not only that but word of mouth...

If I could rate this with negative stars I would!! The customer service is horrible and I have not been here one time and gotten what I asked for ever!!! I was eating my food and I had onions in it after I ordered it with no onions and when I went back inside to have them correct the issue the lady tells me it's been almost an hour since you order your food and I said so what does that have to do with you making my food correctly.i ordered in drive thru drove home food isn't what I ordered and I brought it back that's how long it took even. Tho it should not matter when I ordered it the fact was that I was eating my food and they had onions and I will throw up from them I wanted no onions. She proceeded to tell me that they are not extras onions and that the pre cook the food and they make it with onions in it. Which is just crazy and not how the other don pedros on 122nd does they food. But after making a huge scene because she wants to be rude to me and I felt disrespected and was upset with my burrito and it's always something Everytime I've been to this Don Pedro. They are not nice to you unless you are mexican. But long story short I ended up getting my money back for my burrito only to drive off and I'm looking at my receipt and I realized that they hella over charged me for two bottles of coke. I've never ever paid no $7 for two large cokes!!! I couldn't believe it!!! I was so upset and was already way to far to be turning around again!!! So I had to take the loss on my dinner and the over charge!!! And also my friend's food was over priced and had almost no meat on his tacos!!! They were literally all lettuce!! Don Pedro is a favorite of mine for breakfast and I started eating their when I was in high school more than 20 years ago. Way back then, I would stop on my way to school in the morning and I always stopped to get the same thing: The Breakfast Burrito.

The breakfast burritos they serve are the best around and that is the reason I have been coming back for so many years. They have a few breakfast meats to choose from but my favorite to get is the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. The chorizo is so good that I usually come right back again a second time just to order another one.

However, the breakfast burritos are not the only thing on the menu that is worth getting. All of the breakfast, lunch and dinner items that I have ever gotten before have all been really good too. I just happen to be hooked on the breakfast burritos and that is what I come for.

The only critique that I have is that the line up of cars in the drive thru gets to be a little long at times and the speed of service will sometimes slow down with it. When that does happen, it will never stop me from eating there because the food is always well worth the wait.

In fact for me, when there is long line of cars and eveyone is willing to wait, it is just a testament to how much people like eating at Don Pedro and I don't mind making the wait either.

Over the 20 years that I have been eating at Don Pedro the only thing that has changed is that I stop by on my way to work instead of on my way to school. The food is great and they haven't...
