Be prepared to wait for 30+ minutes in the drive thru. The hours are inconsistent and unclear as well. The last time I came they closed at 11pm, but they allowed 3 cars to wait in the drive thru until 11:15 before telling us they closed at 11 and wouldn't take our orders. I have come here at least 2 times around 30-40 minutes before they were set to close and waited behind 2 or 3 cars only to be turned away as they closed. This is because it takes 20 or more minutes per car to order. They must be understaffed or not properly trained for taking drive thru orders. The few times I have come they seem to take their time making the sandwich while you order, which makes sense in person but not a drive thru. As someone who has worked at a drive thru, it is also standard practice to take the order of anyone in line when you close, but this is understandable that this place would turn everyone away when they close with how long one car's order takes. I can't count how many cars have given up waiting in line here when they realize what a waste of time this place is. Don't make the mistake of visiting...
Read moreAs Subway's go this one was below average. I order the same sandwich every time I go to subway and it gets made several ways sometimes it exceeds my expectations and sometimes I have to beg just to get my money's worth. I order a sandwich with minimal lettuce and a lot of pickles pretty simple when you consider how many veggies are available. So when I say a lot of pickles and they put 6 or 7 on (as happened on this visit) I don't consider that a lot on a footlong with no other veggies on it. I asked for more and he put 3 more on it, I didn't want to beg so I said fine. Then he actually reminded me the machine was going to ask me for a tip. FOR WHAT the kid barely managed to do the job he was being paid to do much less going above and beyond which is what a tip is for. (I am from the generation that tips to reward performance not to pay wages) In all this visit was not one that would have me return in the future or recommend to others. I will continue to go to Subway as usually I get a sandwich worth the money and most the time I get help that deserves a tip just not this time at...
Read moreThe new Garlic Steak Provolone was probably the best flavor I've ever tried from Subway. That is where the happiness began & ended however. This location in Gresham was filthy, food & dirty wadded-up napkins covered several areas on the floor. Several chairs also had noticeable crumbs on them. There was an adorable love seat & two chairs placed in the front of the restaurant that I've never seen inside of a Subway before, that made an impression on me, design-wise, black & rounded edges, it truly was cute. Too bad all three pieces were shoved this way & that, not clean either. Then we have the young man behind the counter, dead eyes, dead voice, not rude, just completely disinterested in anything being said, or asked of him. His partner behind the counter, the one with the face & neck tattoos, was also a man of few words. Whoever owns this franchise, shouldn't let the fact that it's in a pretty sketchy part of town be the excuse for a dirty restaurant &...
