Taqueria Santa Cruz — Restaurant in Gresham

I had to park at the vape shop but the parking was too tight. I parked on the side of taqueria, in the parking lot of the auto store. There were no signs telling me not to park there. I asked the tire shop if I could park there for a moment while I went into the vape shop. When I came back, the guy at taqueria Santa Cruz felt entitled enough to falsely detain me, illegally, blocking me in with his car, and then gave me attitude about parking there, even though I've never been there in my life and there weren't any signs or markings indicating that's his special spot. Unbelievable behavior. It's a tight parking area, I already have a hard enough time finding parking. I did my due diligence by asking permission to park there. You broke the law sir. We are taco stand fans..... and have one we really love right in our hometown, so those we try travelling often do not measure up and we are disappointed. This one caught our eye on Yelp as we were driving from home to Bend, OR and we decided to give it a try. Sitting in a strip mall atmosphere I didn't have really high hopes, but was pleasantly surprised! Not a truck, you order at a counter and they do have some seating. We took our order to go and ate it in the camper. Tacos were VERY tasty! Very good sized and the meat was very flavorful. It was really inexpensive too which is a bonus. For authentic home made Mexican food check out this family owned restaurant. The prices are low and the quality is high. I had the tacos (these are the small tender corn tortillas filled with your choice of meat and topped with cilantro and finely diced onions with a wedge of lime and two sauces) and they were melt in your mouth good. The heat was just right but for those who like it hotter, squeeze on the red or green sauce. The atmosphere is casual and very clean. The family is friendly and serves your food up fast.
