Hogan Market — Local services in Gresham

I stopped coming here for years because the owner was overcharging each time I went in to buy beer. After checking several of my receipts and double checking the price displayed at the store for the same item I always purchased, I confronted her about it and she denied it up and down claiming that she would never do that, that she would never lose a customer over a few cents. I decided to go back and give the store another chance after years of refusing to go back in and I went back twice and bought the same exact beer as before and each time it was the same thing as before. I was overcharged once again. And I double checked the price advertised on the shelf at the store and double checked my receipts. Each time I was charged an extra 20 cents on top of the deposit. The first time I went on these two recent occasions and bought the same six pack of beer I asked for a bag and was charged ten cents for it. And the second time I said no bag needed and that’s when I was able to calculate the difference. It’s not a lot of money but it’s still wrong and it’s still stealing and it’s dishonest. The owner will deny it though. The receipts provided do not itemize the cost breakdown it just shows the amount paid. I was charged 10.29 for a six pack of beer that is listed for 9.49 on the shelf in the fridge and I did not ask for a bag and I was charged 10.29 and there is no sign saying that there is an extra charge for paying with debit or credit. The deposit is only sixty cents not eighty. It adds up when you rob from the whole town...

My iPhone charger stopped working in the middle of the night, went to the closest store to see if they had a charger.

The owner showed me a charger I asked if I can make sure it worked she put the the in my phone an said yes it works an no refunds, I asked kindly please can I just wait a few minutes to make sure it works. She refused! She knew that charger didn’t work an she tried to get me to purchase quickly! I will not ever go in that smelly store that only has a bunch of old food an expired items. Don’t go to the store walk a few feet down the way to 7-Eleven or to the gas station if you need to purchase my items she doesn’t care about selling expired or broken items out...

This is my go to store. If they don't have something I tell them and their always happy to hear what the area needs from the store. Bobby is the cashier that works there the most and he's always got a great attitude, he's fair, and he really gets to know the people that come to Hogan market. They have a nice bar next door and have even started to stay open later for the last call customers. The neighborhood needs this place and they need the neighborhood which is why they have such a variety in their store. 5 stars for Hogan market. Best in town....
