I got to the drive-thru, they told me they couldnt take orders over the speaker but they were inside. No big deal, I went inside. I ordered my food at 9:07pm, the worker said it would be 5 minutes-ish. After I had ordered, I noticed many different people calling out the workers for "forgetting" or "misplacing" their food. Atleast 3 different orders had food missing, or cold because of how long the workers took. Meanwhile, I waited 25 minutes, many other people ordered after me, and I was watching all the people who ordered after me getting their food, finally after waiting 30 minutes, someone came over and told me that they were out of potatoes? I do not understand why they couldn't tell me that when I ordered..? She asked if I wanted a refund in a very rude tone, and then she said I will get my manager. I asked her why I had not gotten any of my food yet and she responded with, "We all thought you cancelled your entire order!" That was VERY disrespectful and I asked why she didn't check with me and she ignored me and walked away. I waited 5 more minutes until the manager came over to the registers, but it wasn't even to help me! I asked if I could speak with her, and she said "I'll be right with you" in a VERY rude tone. I then waiting another 5 minutes until she came over and helped me.. She was in a very rude tone with me the ENTIRE interaction, asking why I didn't speak up earlier, and if I wanted a refund for the entire thing when I said that I wanted a refund for the potato only. She refunded my card, AFTER she was bossing me around and treating me horribly, so I thought that was that, turns out no.. The manager told one of the workers to get me my stuff from my receipt, where I then waited over 10 minutes AGAIN to get ANY of my stuff.. They got my order but yet still forgot my fries, I waited and waited watching all the other orders get their food once again, while I was still waiting, I finally spoke up and the worker rolled his eyes and me and said "Fine I will get that right now." By the time this was over and I got all my food, it was cold, soggy and overall not enjoyable. I spent over an hour at this Wendy's waiting for 5 things.. Their counters are also SUPER messy, the workers do NOT wash their hands before touching food after dealing with the register, nor do they wear gloves. Overall this is not a good place to be. DO...
Read moreJust walking in the door, you can tell the staff is stressed out and cannot handle a simple dinner rush. Just a couple cars in the drive-through and 3 people in line causes the staff to go into panic mode. I have worked in the service industry for years and only had staff freak out that badly when there was 1 employee in the building and 50+ orders at once.
They had issues figuring out how to work the POS. Ordering 2 meals and 2 sandwiches with no special instructions took them 5 tries and had to keep asking me what I was ordering. They made our Frosty's immediately and had them sitting out, so they partially melted by the time we got our bags of food. We also ordered 2 Krabby Patty meals for my kids, but got no SpongeBob bags nor stickers, I had to ask them multiple times for the stickers for my kids. The only non-krabby patty sandwich I got was the simple Dave's Single. I'm not sure what they read when they saw that, but I got something with other sauces and some bacon. Lastly, the special Under The Sea pineapple frostys weren't even made properly. They squirted pineapple flavoring in the bottom of the cup, poured the vanilla frosty on top, then just left it like that. One of them didn't even get the proper measurement of syrup, it was as if they finished the bottle off and called it a day.
Absolutely disappointed. This is all easily avoidable. The folks getting trained need proper coaching for how to use their systems and not left at the register by themselves until they are confident in their POS skills / capabilities, especially for a dinner rush during a limited event. The staff needs to follow the proper preparation procedures for not making the frozen / perishable items prior to the rest of the order, and they need to follow all company measurement guides for proper standards of how much per ingredient to add. Also, the Shift Lead / Manager on duty needs to lead with confidence in their skills. When the leader is freaking out and dashing back and forth stressed out not able to handle the chaotic situation, then the employees won't be able to handle it as well. And this isn't the first time this happened. I've usually didn't write comments , but this seems to be an ongoing thing. I've gone to this Wendy's for well over 4 decades In the last few years its just gone straight downhill
