The café is clean and staffed by friendly people. Service was a bit scattered, but always happy.

My main disappointment was with the food. It was NOT AT ALL BAD, but it wasn't really anything special. My tomato soup tasted like an unseasoned tomato sauce, and my husband's sandwich (the Tuesday special with corned beef) was very uninspiring: the corned beef had no flavor and was easily overpowered by the roasted peppers in the sandwich.

Cute diner in a quaint town. Sadly, the food was just mediocre. The grandly named "Rockefeller Center" sandwich was a single slice of deli ham, a single layer of lettuce, a slice of cheese and a slice of tomato on sandwich bread "toasted" in a sandwich press. I had a wonderful lunch at “The Artist’s Café” this week with a friend. My lunch was the fancy grilled cheese with tomato soup.
