Five star dive bar!
What Is This Place? We’re Not Sure, But We Loved It.
We were across the street for dinner and decided to check this place out while we were in town. Holy smokes — we’re so glad we did! Imagine a carnival ride meets dive bar meets disco… It’s wild, it’s chaotic, and it somehow works.
This place defies simple description — it’s a lot of adjectives and probably too many for one review. But here’s the vibe: crazy, cool, loud, bright, unexpected, and fun.
We sat at the bar, where every one of our senses was under full assault in the best way. There’s no corner of the place that doesn’t have something weird, funny, or mind-bending to look at. Is it too much? Nah. It’s great.
The bartenders — Brian (or maybe Ryan?) and Taz — were hilarious and matched the energy perfectly. No fluff, just fun, fast, and factual. Drinks came out quickly, and the cocktails were solid.
We didn’t eat, but we watched someone get a pizza that looked fresh-made and seriously good — definitely not frozen. We’ll be back to try it for sure.
Honestly, just check out the photos. Words won’t do this place justice. We’ll absolutely be back for more drinks, more weirdness, and that pizza.
Pro tip: When you arrive, mentally mark where the exits, patio, and bathrooms are. Once the cocktails kick in, the decor will mess with your sense of...
Read moreWe had our fun day planned, was responsible and figured a DD, who happens to be Marah, who is 18. We have had no issues until we get to Grimes...Stevie C's...Let me tell you how upset I am.... We were told that Marah could not be in there. We were not planning on being there for the night, literally 1 or 2 drinks. After 1 round, and someone buying for a few here and there within an hour, I was told by the bartender that would be our last round. The owner (Brandon) seemed to be following me around, not sure if he was making sure I was only having 1...or just really interested to see my outfit. Regardless, why would a business turn away a group of people when they have been responsible, have a DD (who is an adult) and wants to drink and have some pizza. Tim and I have frequented Stevie C's in the past, but never again. We went across the street to Rehab and they told us we could stay as long as we wanted/needed. Apparently there is not a law that prohibits under 21 individuals in bars....or else we would not have been able to be in several bars.. Take a look at...
Read moreI absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is one of the best "bar" atmospheres I've ever experienced! The tin ceiling, ordained with a brilliant tap handle collection, reflects all the colors of the neon lights, and it just makes the place feel happy and bright, but not obnoxious bright. It's a fun bright.
I also love the patio when the weather is right. It's quiet, cozy, and decorated comically & wonderfully.
The service is always great. Whether it's friendly banter, or just rapid service, they're always great, indoors or on the patio.
On top of all that, the prices are perfect!
I wish I had some photos to share, but just trust me, go in and have fun. I guess I do have 1 photo, of an orange McLaren Parker outside with jack-o'-lantern...
