While I've lived here for a number of years, it wasn't until I was pressured by an old friend that I began to frequent this pizza place. Since I've started, I've had their pizza, garlic knots, calzones and grinders; in the case of this review I'll cover all three.
Starting with their namesake, the pizza. Very large and very flat, a slice of pepperoni will run you about $3 and should more than fill someone up; one of their slices is as large as some small pies you might make yourself or get somewhere else. their toppings range from basic and cheese and pepperoni to Chicken Carbonara and Hawaiian. Every time I've gone for pizza I've never been disappointed, just fold it together and enjoy. The Garlic knots are a nice addition to any slice, they typically don't cost more than $2 for about six or seven of them, and they are served with marinara as a courtesy. The marinara doesn't have the most memorable flavor, but the garlic knots hold it down on their flavorful merit.
Next up are the calzones. These often take awhile to make, maybe twenty minutes or so; I'd recommend calling ahead. These calzones are a burst of flavor, as someone that isn't a fan of ricotta cheese typically, the combination of capicola, mozzarella and ricotta came together beautifully. Normally I'd assume that a place that specializes in pizza might not be strong with the rest of their menu, but if you aren't feeling pizza the calzone is a solid alternative.
Sandwiches, the cold ones at least, aren't very noteworthy. They don't put very much meat on the grinder to justify the price, and as a result you end up with a dominant taste of bread despite the other ingredients. My 6 inch Genoa was roughly $7, crazy considering how little meat actually ended up on the sandwich itself. Consider avoiding this as an option while you're here.
The service is perfectly fine, all of the staff have a friendly attitude both in how they work and how they converse with customers. Whether I'm up front ordering or in the back seating area, the restaurant has a very laid-back atmosphere, so I never feel obligated to leave in a fast manner.
With that said, if you're solely interested in pizza, make every effort to stop by this place; it is well worth your time to do so. However, if you're in the market for a grinder or something they don't heavily advertise, consider other...

Read moreAlright. I like pizza but I also like other menu items at a pizza place. What makes the meal great is a good sauce, fresh ingredients and the dough. I think this place has the trifecta in their arsenal. Ordered for pickup. Sausage Parm Grinder, Calzone, Meatball appetizer (if I'm going out to judge ... You have to try the meatballs). And wings and mozzarella sticks. The Grinder and Calzone hands down was really good. The Calzone was cooked perfectly and not too doughy. The sausage Parm had sliced sausage made it easy to eat and every bite had sausage. Mean balls and sauce were pretty good. Wings more like a 3., Cooked well but really saucy, not my favorite.. mozzarella stix were alright. Nothing out of the ordinary. When I go again. I will want to try the Sicilian pizza and Italian rolls. But I won't necessarily get more appetizers. But if you have kids and want to whip up spaghetti and meatballs I would get their...
