Lingo's Fish & Loaves Grill — Restaurant in Groveland

Precursor - I’ve been cooking professionally for the last 13 years of life. Went to culinary school, and currently the Chef for Dubsdread Catering in Orlando.

While I do appreciate the visual astethics of fine dining food and presentation, I appreciate the “non-fine dining” scene a lot more. ESPECIALLY if the food is properly seasoned and well executed. The food that came out of this food truck checked off ALL the boxes in my own personal check list when trying out a new spot - from taste, execution, menu offerings and price point.

My wife and I went to the community food truck pop-up in Ronald Gaffney Park on Saturday night to finally check them out. We ordered 10 Wings and Fries (Garlic Parm), 10 Wings and Fries (Lemon Pepper), and the Famous Honey Mack Melt.

My first bite was of the Famous Honey Mack Melt and I literally said “oh my god”. Immediately went to trying both the Garlic Parm and then the Lemon Pepper wings. “Oh my god” followed 2 more times. I was not only impressed by the flavors of those three items, but also the fact that the wings they used were PROPERLY SIZED WINGS.

The last couple of wing spots my wife and I went to or have had has hugely missed the mark. Price was always too expensive for the last of sauce/flavor and size of the wing. These did not it’s the mark. In fact, Lingo’s Fish and Loaves Grill RE-CREATED THE STANDARD of how chicken wings should be executed!

Lingo’s is amazing! The food is always consistently fresh and hot and the flavors are always on point. However, what really makes the experience the best is Ms. Rena and Mr. Johnny.
