This is my favorite Mexican Food Restaurant in Grover Beach. I often meet my husband here for lunch, or arrange my day so trips to the hardware store occur right at lunchtime since it is right across the street. It is a family owned business with authentic food. Jerry, the owner and waiter, handles my husband’s need for high calorie food and my requests for switch it out for veggies just fine. The cook took a 6 ounce portion of baked beef, choped it up into small pieces, fried it on the grill until it was very crispy, then put it on a plate, covered it with some watery red sauce put some boiled beans on the plate, I had to ask for some onions, and cheese to give the beans some flavor. The meat was very bland and the beans the same!! For this breakfast I was charged $17.49!! At old Juan's cantina they cook 1 inch chunks of beef in the sauce, and for a whole dinner it is only $15.00. I will never go back again. I felt like I was in Tijuana not Grover Beach, oh wait I forgot, Grover Beach...

Salsa had a little bite to it, but it was delicious. Hubby liked the fact that the asada fries had real cheese and not nacho cheese. My tostada was very good as well.
Would definitely eat here again if I’m passing...
